    Green. The most natural colour.

As it has 'special edition' on the caseback I would have thought we will see plenty more than 100 pieces

Lovely shade of green, which compliments the black face. Stunning...

Perhaps a silly question and apologies if it is, but where are these available as I couldn’t see it on the Harrods website?

Give the watch room a call at harrods & they will probably tell you to call back next year.

    Harrods green black bay

Hi all! just wondering whether the guys who are lucky enough to have got their names down for the first batch of 100 have been contacted by harrods yet? I read on another forum that the first 50 have arrived and I'm surprised that some haven't immediately been flipped!

    Thanks

Clasp is a bit plain and a bit ugly for my liking. I guess the nato partially makes up for that

Really! I suppose the Rivetted bracelet more than makes up for it! I wouldn’t use the Tudor Black NATO much preferring a TZ or MS one in Black or Tan or Olive Green

Besides the hour hand that is a great watch, what's the chance of getting one?

Very high, a) if you are prepared to pay a crazy premium; and possibly b) if you wait and see if it will be a regular special edition for Harrods in the same way as the blue BB Bronze is for Bucherer.
It's just a matter of time...

  15. #165
    Agreed. Riveted bracelet looks ace

That clasp though. Not befitting of this watch

All that said, I should reserve judgment until I see one in a day or two. I'll be back!

Crazy premium? It's nice but it's something only say a few dozen people have actually bought and handled yet. What premium do you expect there to be?

I can't see there being a crazy premium on this one. Maybe 1k on a good day (for the flipper). 2k if you buy from some Mayfair watch boutique or Instagram sensation or similar.

You don't regard a £1000 premium on a watch that costs £2630 'crazy'? In % terms isn't that beating the likes of the current DSSD?

And almost as good as the 50% premium on a Steel Daytona!

I guess its all down to opinion and preference, but its a rather sweeping statement to say that a certain colour doesn't "work" on a certain object...

... do all Ferraris need to be red? All Bugattis blue? All Astons green and all lamborghinis... erm... is it yellow??

Most of those cars do look best in those colours, I saw a purple Aston the other day.
Horrid the lines looked all wrong.

I don’t Like the Harrods special either, give me the red or black any day.
But it doesn’t matter we can’t all like the same.

I like that clasp, simple but functional. I don't really like large fussy clasps, especially when they start to get way out of proportion like some recent rolex and omega ones.

Well, why don't you ask how much someone is willing to sell you one for and see if you think the premium over rrp is crazy or not. I doubt you'll get one for only £1k over list in the next month.
It's just a matter of time...

It works perfectly well for a lot of people, and that's all that matters for the sales of this model. It doesn't need your approval or endorsement to make it a sales success, it will be one anyway.

The reason that some of those cars are associated with those colours is absolutely nothing to do with their appearance...

...you just dont like purple astons - personal opinion.

Will this lead to other collaborations,

    Orange dial = Sainsbury's anyone?

    Perhaps a Poundland Timex?

A friend has been offered one for £4500 so that’s a big premium. It’s like being offered a Daytona for £16.5k

It's probably the same guy who paid Watchfinder £10k for their first Speedy Tuesday. Bragging rights come at a cost

Discussion in Harrods today suggested this model is likely to have a future beyond the original limited run.

Now that is good news for people who want one at list. They were always going to do this, it’s printing money.

People should stop paying premiums/above rrp for these watches to what are basically parasites.
The people who do this profiteering are no better than ticket touts and should be treated as such.

Its got everything to do with appearance.. As well as the team heritage and racing colours.

i have a mate who works in the watches salons in harrods

first special edition will be 100- regular edition to follow will be 50 a year as they figure they can keep that rolling for several years at that rate without ever having one on show that's "not reserved"
also total package for regular production will be slightly different ie aimed more at the people who like harrods as a brand rather then those who like tudor black bay as a brand
