Here's my speedy pro on a Di-modell carbon, I can't see this combo coming off for a while.

A little nod to the original roots of the 'speedmaster' too..

I don't know about perfect, but I think this Martini racing stripes NATO is a good match for a blue scuba dude.

With it being quite good light outside today for an iPhone snap, thought I would take the opportunity in showing my favourite Watch/Strap combo!

Is that the same strap as Normunds?

I had this one made for my Heuer....the original strap is nice, but seems lightweight for such a chunkie watch....

This one suits it much better.

I'm looking for a sandy coloured strap with a roughed up almost hairy look but can't find one. Tried this for fun today and whilst I like the colour it's not the right strap. Almost like this on the Longines 1945 but even rougher more distressed - anyone know ?

The Worn & Wound model 2 premium Mohave might fit the bill.

I think it will look great. I was tempted to get one myself for a 16750 GMT.

Their Instagram account has some great photos of the strap on other models if you want a better idea of what it might look like: https://www.instagram.com/twostitchstraps/

I’ve had one custom strap from these guys (I have small wrists so like them custom made to fit) and they are really great to deal with.

Have you looked at the Hirsch heritage? Not roughed up but might suit?

That looks nice. The stitching almost orange tone to it also. One for the list! Ty. Still experimenting and at least the bracelet is always good plus the nato for summer

That is a Perlon strap. Vintage Eulit 'Panama' and modern 'Palma' are a lot more substantial than the 'Kristall' and modern 'Panama' weaves.

This one isn't a great picture but the bars on the NATO are gold to match the gold bezel edge, hands and dial print. Shouda kept it!

On the modern version the buckle can’t be adjusted to shorten the strap, but the design is a lot more substantial than the vintage version which feels rather flimsy. Because the strap is threaded through the older style, the position that the tongue pierces the strap as it is done up can be varied which reduces damage due to repeated use. I’m not overly keen on the way that the tongue cuts through the weave on the buckle centre bar of the modern version, leaving frayed edges.

I quite like this thread. Every watch I own has a bracelet fitted because I have always taken the view that they are the perfect match, are much stronger and have longevity built into them.

I have recently started to look at Patek Philippes and nearly every one looks much better with a strap fitted. Most of my stuff is Rolex and the one thing I hate about Rolex is that most of them are a bit loud. My Daytona in particular with PCLs just attracts attention.

When I get back to the UK, I may well buy up a couple of good leather straps because the ones in this thread look brilliant.

A very versatile strap - curved ended shark skin with deployant, made by Strap Works.

Bought originally for this Seiko Presage:

... but working equally as well on a Steinhart OVR:
