Like the denim, but not keen on the leather. Might work better if darker (black?).

Hi, nice to see the FF on a nato. I quite fancy putting a NATO on mine but have read elsewhere it’s very difficult due to the lack of space between the spring bars and the case.

How easy did you find it to put the nato on?

    Thanks
    David

That piece is just a random one.
    I'll make a few darker/black for it
    Thanks

It took a while to find a NATO strap slender enough to fit between the bars and the strap, got mine from Amazon in the end. I may get the watch serviced and new BP NATO fitted in the nearish future.

Omega rubber strap with deployant clasp (which I can't get on with) - £400
Zuludiver rubber strap with tang buckle (which I prefer) - £28
That'll do me, can't see where I'd get £372 more enjoyment out of the Omega strap. Yes the Zuludiver isn't curved to fit the case but I can live with that.

Pilot (or space) watch deserves a pilot strap. BOB canvas in green, think it goes nice with orange hands

New strap for the 614 from outlaw straps. Amazing quality, and I like the worn "surfer-boi" look.

Brown shouldn’t look right with a black case, but that looks very nice.

    Thanks.
It was an attempt to mimic the black brown combo of the Breitling Aerospace Evo Night Mission.

Anyhow, today I have been mostly dressing down the Vulcain with a blue Tropic style rubber.

There’s an original 20mm blue Tropic on SC that made me think about this combo - but Tropic don’t supply the blue in 22mm - so i Googled around a bit & I managed to source this from Cousins for £2.75 each - so I bought 3 in different colours !

Then just don’t. If you’ve nothing nice to say on a subject often best not to say anything at all. If it’s not your thing fine you ain’t wearing it.

Counter-point - that strap looks like crap, and is the antithesis of the perfect strap - watch combination that is this thread. The OP might like it, and should be happy that he made it - a major achievement! But no one would look at a Radiomir, and think, "You know what that needs? A stonewashed strap with a tan leather keeper."

I set myself up as an arbiter of taste a page or two back, so here are the hits and misses from this page -

ryanb741 - crap photo, mate, but that looks a good fit. Now get it worn in.
Robsmck - nope. Glad you like it, dude, but it looks like you took it from a dead body.
TaketheCannoli - that's about right. That style needs a rubber.
Nealywheelie - we can't see the strap, mate.
zelig - that looks sharp, and is the best of the straps you've tried on that Fortis.
    ped - perfect.

Love it. Needs some sanity in here other than just a circlejerk of "oh wow"s and "amazing"s.

Funniest thing I've read in-thread so far...

Popcorn time - a nice old meltdown / ragequit / threadlock would go well with my pork scratchings and pint

    Sorry for all this fuss...
I am to blame for posting that here but....in my eyes that looked perfect ....colorwise at least.
And it's not like a Radiomir needed that but....why not?
From time to time I think that we can play around a bit...
    Sorry again for all this
    Now.......another perfect match...
I know you'll might go balistic but....again : now this looks and feel perfect to me ....like a tool that it's supposed to be
    Enjoy!

Now that is different, fair play! as per the thread title though Perfect combination??...not so sure, I'll let Wol break it down later
After many years experimenting with Panerai and straps it's black 'rubber' or brown leather for me.
And unless diving or timing your pasta... Bezel pip at '12' please

Great to hear it. Must be very satisfying to work with all those materials and lose yourself in a project like that especially if it puts a smile on someone’s face. Nice one.
