Pretty straightforward combination. Speedy on a snoopy. Works!

    That's a good match - like it.

Wearing this tonight, just to show that my tastes are impeccable.

I should have credited you for the Damasko / E0 combo and you’ll recognise the other strap too.

I think this this is the first thread I have seen during my time here (10+ years!!!) that has made people make a “proper” effort.

One of the most enjoyable in a long time.

Definitely give that a thumbs up. Great looking watch, and pairs really well with the strap

    Plain black Rios suede.

I fail to see how this would upset Walter. Although, the gap between it and case is likely to irritate me as it's thinner than some of the previous offenders.

    Good

martyloveswatches - Seiko Speedtimer. That’s a great match for the colour of the dial. Fine - not a problem.
Toddy - MM300. Just squeaks onto the Good list, as it’s boring, but works, and I can't be mad that soemone's taken my advice ("Just put it on a NATO.")
learningtofly - Pelagos/Zuludiver combo. Looks fine - the strap is a fit with the watch in terms of use and intent. How does it fasten? Velcro, or a buckle?
pepere13 - Aquastar. That’s a good fit, it really is. Those retro Aquastars are lovely-looking watches, and the MN works well.
notenoughwrists - GS diver. Great, good call with the colours and the texture.
Martylaa - Smiths on a colourful NATO. Nice job picking out all the dial/bezel colours in the strap. Good work. Now learn how to focus your photos.
Nealywheelie - Bremont. As with Martylaa, good call with the colours.
Middo - Tudor. Now wear the damn thing. It’ll look better with some creases.
Oooh, a mention!!! Yes, it's velcro, Walter.

Love it! Proof, if it were needed, that the Speedmaster goes with pretty much any strap!

A Damasko and any nato is a good look but a grey nato is perfect

I'm not a huge NATO fan - only because of the extra thickness they entail - but that looks excellent

Damasko and Sinn tool watches look really good on grey straps in general; really wish I could get my favourite 'troffle' style of FKM strap in grey, but alas N/A.

As already noted, I'm going through a grey strap phase and to that end, this arrived yesterday:

It's a Diloy hybrid with grey-green Cordura upper and a soft calf underside - the quality is just lovely, finishing spot-on, comfort excellent and I love the faintly green hue to the grey which really suits the 756. Not expensive, either.

Not the strap I want to use and I do have a Pav on the way but I feel it’s a nicer watch on leather than bracelet. The case is a lovely shape and the dial a deep gloss black and both of those attributes are emphasised on leather.

It might be near-heresy for some, to match a rally strap to a proper dive watch, but I like it:

    Japan meets Germany

Another odd diver combo - this Seiko 62MAS on a West German "Expandro" milanese strap/bracelet:

Despite the name Expandro, it doesn't expand in any way (other than it can be adjusted at the clasp).

It came to me on a different Seiko described as having been bought by the seller's stepfather in the Far East in 1972, and that this was the original bracelet... so it's possible it was bought in the early 70s as an alternative to the regular Seiko one that the watch would have ordinarily had. That watch in question is a brown-dial 6139-6010 which was only available from Thong Sia, which was part of the Stelux group and it was common for watches sold via Thong Sia to have different bracelets than they would have had from the factory.

Couple of very nice Seikos, and FWVLIW, I like both strap combos.

I also look forward very much indeed to when Walter's next had a few light ales...

Been wanting a green Willard for a while now, and with the recent Jura sale I couldn't resist. Stuck it on a CWC single pass ribbed strap and I'm chuffed to bits with it.
