That strap works perfect with the Daytona for me - dream watch but out of my reach such is life

Thanks Rusty, consolidation has been my friend, still some more to do, picking what goes is tricky though.

I can empathize with that. Been toying with selling my bb58 then stupidly bought this strap and boom it’s back on the wrist

I got the same from ‘George’s straps’. They really are very good straps.

Has anyone had experience with Tempo Materials for buying straps? I quite fancy this digicamo for my Submariner.

This is a great long-running watch-porn thread, but there are a lot of dubious choices here. I know that in matters of taste there is no discussion, but of the watches posted on this page, there Tudors, the round G-Shock, and the Seiko 5 get a pass. Oh, and the Lemania 5100 too. The rest? Sorry, no!

The TT Daytona looks a dog's dinner. Get it back into the bracelet where it belongs.
The SD43 looks (to my eyes!) awful on the Zulu, and the owner thinks so too, as the strap hasn't been worn in, or flexed to fit. Back on the bracelet, please.
The mesh on the Seamaster Pro? Again, OEM bracelet, please! The mesh doesn't work and you can bet the clasp is heavier than the watch.
Leather NATOs are an abomination in the eyes of the Lord, and that CWC deserves better. (Coincidentally, the green Zulu on the SD43 might work.)
The older Sub with the RubberB strap reminds me of my old Ford Capri - shut lines I could fit a pencil in. At least the ends of the strap fit the watch.
The strap on the Zeno is the perfect match for the watch, in that they both should be thrown into the drawer marked "Everyone's Last Choice".
The GS is a lovely watch, much like the OP's sandwiches, is boring - we can't see the strap.

Right - that's off my chest. This thread is for perfect straps for the watches! I'll contribute more if called out, but there's a lot of different straps for watches here.

I think this thread need a bouncer.

Get it back on the OEM, man.

    That Zenith looks boss.

The 47mm Panerai will look good when a) that strap looks like it's been worn, and b) it's on an adult's wrist. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

This thread is now the outlet for my bile and venom. Here - to show that I know what I'm doing -

Sorry but ,as I stated repeatedly, OEM won't fit my wrist so.....

The notion of paying extra to obtain an unsellable watch? Hmm let me think about that for nanosecond ...

Wearing this today, and posting a pic to show that I do know a good strap from a hole in the ground.

Crown and Buckle Chevron strap - the next nylon straps I've ever used.

Um... Y'know how you huffed'n'puffed about how poor everybody else's idea of a good strap/watch match-up is?

And how you've come-up with a GS on a turd-brown wisp of nylon?

    Yeeaahh... No.

Honestly, that looks like a boxing glove on a withered arm. Get it back on a bracelet where it belongs, there's a good chap

Like it! In fairness that watch looks stunning on more or less anything, but that's a good combo.

  35. #885
Are those C&B Chevron straps shiny? I like the look of them but can't be doing with shiny nylon

If it’s old and military I think you can’t do much better than an AF0210 strap

They match old Tritium lume perfectly.

Now that is absolutely spot-on for the watch

Bought a couple of items from Watch Gecko - quite pleased with the results...

The Damasko definitely wears best on a 2-piece as it's a tall little thing!

GS on Hirsch, had this floating about so gave it a try, think it's ok but not quite the perfect match.

Ooh, imagine being so willing to show your bum - so willing to be so wrong in public!

I don't want to set myself up as some final arbiter of taste, but that's exactly what I am. Heavy lies the head, etc.

And as proof, these are the 9 watches I've got to hand. And everyone is on objectively on the correct strap or bracelet.

There you go - Rolexes on oysters. Titanium G-shock on the bracelet. 33.3% of watches on nylon, as God intended. One rubber, because no one actually likes rubber - it's no one's first choice. A couple of bits of leather.

And ped - no, they're pretty matt. And the best nylon straps I've ever worn.

  42. #892
Thanks I might give them a try now I have discovered they do PVD hardware. The Lemania at the top of the page is mine and it’s amazing on a bog standard semi knackered NATO but I can’t help checking outer stuff out too.

FWIW I agree with a lot you say and think this thread needs a bouncer - I was ready to find a problem with your set but it looks good to me, you haven’t even fallen for one of those edge stitched leather straps.

That Lemania is gorgeous - I think one of these would suit, especially with PVD metal wear.

Tempted with the green but it looks a bit bright... wonder if anyone here has one. But yes I'd get the sand and grey too I think and bash the hardware about a bit to match the case!

Sir's Delusions of Adequacy border upon the heartwarming, and - through gritted teeth (and clenched bum) - I am forced to admit that you so nearly pulled it off, ya villain that y'are, but that poor benighted GS is there, still... on that wisp of rag...

Cheapest NATO straps do a very similar style. I've worn one as much as my c&b chevron, and so far it's held up just as well. And they're about £7 at the moment.

No PVD option unfortunately. Does anywhere in the UK stock the Crown&Buckle ones?
