I think this NATO might have been made for this vintage Tissot...

Good colours but looks too new to me - better if you could 'age' it somehow?

The “cheap” cousins rubber but I’m very pleased with the quality. Freshened up my appreciation for my sub.

Love both of these , which one would look better on a type A Flieger I wonder?

Obviously this is all subjective but currently I think this combo is pretty nice.

I saw one of these in my local goldsmith's pre-owned for a pretty amazing price and I'm quite tempted! How do you like it?

Looks great on the leather :)

Thank you. I'm very happy with it. Quality, legibility, accuracy, proportions and finishing all great.

No complaints, I think it's a lovely watch.

This is the same watch and as I have too many blue watches this one may well be coming to a SC near you soon.

New JPM Leather strap for my new GS - Just waiting on the GS buckle to turn up from Seiya (they came back into stock!)
Quite fancy the blue suede JPM strap for those smart nights out.

The red stitching particularly complements the red chrono seconds hand. I like it.

I don’t know about it being the perfect combo, but I thought I’d try this red strap as it’s Autumn.

Thought I'd try the strap from the FOIS on the 60th anniversary speedy. What do you think?

I know divers one leather ar a big no to some of us but I really like this.

A rare sight where the Orca's weird lugs hug a piece of leather

    I also think that.
To my way of thinking, a dive watch should be fitted to a strap that can get wet

I would agree to an extent, but quite like leather on a submersible for the winter. Put it on rubber or NATO for the good weather

Thanks - I really like it too. The watch comes on an olive nato which I’m not a huge fan of. I tried it on a tan pilot strap but I’ve settled on the brown vintage (for now!).

Here it is on the tan strap

You're welcome! Your post actually got me looking at IWC's website. I can see the nato strap which I think actually looks pretty sweet but I am a Nato fan.

Just shy of £4K new, will have a look at what they are secondhand.

Have you tried many other strap combos?

They're sold out now, limited run of 1948 watches I think and not too many around used yet but I'm sure they will pop up.

I tried black and brown shell cordovan too (I don't have pics sorry) which give it a more formal look but I think the more vintage looking straps suit it better as it's more of a traditional looking watch. Good to have choices though!

Awesome. Well a very cool piece. I'm sure residuals will remain pretty strong if it's an LE.

It's the 19mm Speedmaster cordura strap, reference 98000315.

Needed a little bit of tweaking to get it to fit properly.
