    I tried this Staib mesh on my Orient Bambino, only because both were in my drawer and I've decided that I really like the combination;

The perfect strap - watch combination THREAD

A couple of new para straps landed today.

At £6.73 a pop, I feel a little bit sick now for what I paid for the Erika’s Original

Totally worth it imo, the pairing is perfect and this watch is gorgeous!

They look good, can I ask what you got them please?
Still struggling to find a strap I'm happy with for my speedy, at 6 quid I can have a play around.
    Thanks

How stiff are they? One thing I've found with the only EO that I own is that the elastic is... very rigid, and not at all flexible. And rigid is good. Here's a 24mm EO that I use on my sbdb005.

EDIT - these seem to be £20. Still cheaper than EO!

There's no denying that the elastic (and hardware) is of a better quality on the EO, Walt. But I can't see myself getting another EO over these. £6.73 versus £85 (Black Ops) is just too much of a gulf.

Yes, yes, yes - I get the fact that a £10 and a £10,000 watch do the same thing.

Couldn't find the ones from Juelong, thank you, but a few minutes later, and AliExpress to the rescue.

Will report back when they arrive, in three weeks or so!

And Jon, yes sure - I feel queasy when I look at the prices of some top-end straps, and it amuses me to wear a £10k watch on a tatty bit of nylon!

    £3.20!!! I feel robbed lol.

At some point you have to wonder where the profit comes from.
There’s a selling platform here called Lazada - I often try and find the cheapest of something, whether that be a watch or sneakers.

This watch is 17p and shipping £1

These sneakers are £1.50 and a £1 shipping

Love these elastic NATOs, this one has made the 510.503 so much more wearable.

Canvas strap from cousins. 5 quid…. Was going to use this to test the waters before I got a Haveston but heck they’re actually holding up extremely well.

Already posted this in the 'today I received' thread, but in retrospect this would be the better place to post.

I don't usually get on with nato straps, due to personal preferences related to comfort, excess strap and them making the watch thicker (versions that go under). This Nick Mankey strap came up via the forum and looked like it might fix those issues for me, and I must say I've not been disappointed. Very comfortable, nothing under the watch head and no excess = happy me

Got round to swapping the bracelet for the nylon strap on the Landmaster, very comfortable and suits it well.

So good to see so many old bits of mine making the rounds! Here's a great strap, I think, for my SD Landmaster. It's an Erika's in 24mm, and it's lovely.

OK, package arrived from China this morning containing three elastic MN-style straps.

I've been wearing my SD Landmaster on a proper EO strap for the last month or so and I've been very impressed with it - the material is stiff, the watch doesn't move about at all. I like it. I don't like the price of Erica's straps, and I feel that there's a significant mark-up going on. (I know, I know, we've all got to make a living, but...)

But these were three quid each.

Initial thoughts - thinner and more flexible than the EO straps, of course. The metalwork is all very similar - similar thickness, although the hook is a little more open. Stitching seems to be in the same places. Not much I can say about a strip of elastic, is there?

I'll were one for a week or two, and report back, but so far - positive. I've put one on my heaviest and largest watch as a test.

Being my most-worn watch by some margin, I have a good number of strap for my Damasko DC57, but this Rios 'Nature' in Cognac-coloured buffalo leather is probably the finest match yet.
I've worn it on the bulkier-but-similar notched bands Rios 'Apulia' and Di Modell 'Chronissimo', but this suits and wears better, and the colour is just gorgeous. Not a cheap option at £43, but worth it.

Blast from the past. The strap & watch combo was great (but was just too small:42 diameter with <42 L2L so wears a lot smaller)

Thought I’d post here also. Received the OEM NTTD NATO and matches the colours on the watch exactly. It will be staying on this for a while.

I can't remember if I've posted this in this thread, but I'm still loving this combo. It's a Hirsch performance strap which I've now worn in water a dozen times and it still looks great.

Tried a few different straps on this, in my eyes OEM Blue is the perfect match for it……

Some say that anything apart from a bracelet on a DJ is sacrilege.
But I believe that a change is as……..

Love the way that the colours match
