Thread: The perfect strap - watch combination THREAD

  1. #2751

New from the Strap Tailor. Think it matches well. Needs some wearing in to soften it but like the 2 piece, velcro/nato combo.

This is my 1st 'ribbed' strap and I have to say it feels indestructible, & the sewn-in keepers are of very good quality.
Need to order another colour or two, although this custard yellow suits the watch really well IMHO.
Love the look of that, and personally prefer the way 2-part straps wear - even if less secure.

    Thanks, it was an e-bay purchase, jpeat-94, £10.95, & yes, 2 piece.

This is a 22mm strap in a watch that needs a 23mm, but the Erica's I've ordered don't arrive until next week, so this is what you get. And what you get is pretty fine.

    Here's one of the 23mm Erika's I ordered last week. I'm right, you're wrong - it's a great strap.

Well, I got this one too, but isn't grey a little boring?

Had this Speedbird GMT for a while now, but could never get a good fit with the bracelet (shame as the quality is amazing).
Fitted a Hirsch Ayrton and think it suits it well:

That'll be me you're talking about and, though I'm a fan of a rainbow, even I couldn't do that I'm afraid! I also own the very same Bathyscaphe and...erm...yeah it's a no from me.
The grey, though, that's another story!

Was looking for a new strap for my Steinhart 44mm Vintage

    Am considering an Erikas Originals

After having tried a dozen or so straps on my XVI, I have found the perfect one.

Black perforated slim leather, with black stitch, and my IWC buckle fitted. Looks business and casual, hugs the wrist, slim like the watch head itself. Perfecto!

B1 back from Breitling after a battery change, so I’ve put it on a fabric/sailcloth strap for now.

Certainly not historically correct but I don’t think this looks too bad. Elastic NATO’s are the dogs!

The green two-piece canvas from Wrist Envy makes the case finish even more toolish.

Just perfect. From design, to comfort, to accuracy. Watch came on rally Tropic, but much better on original imo.

Never thought I'd say a Leather Strap would be perfect on a Seamaster but I'm enjoying this Hirsch Lucca on my SMPc.

Interesting, thank you. I think I've just picked up the one on the SC, so I'll see what I've got in the strap box...

Meanwhile, 24mm EO on my SBDB005.

Nice to be missed. There are some things on this page that make me twitch a little, but also some good choices - alex, that EO is excellent. I've got the Alinghi arriving tomorrow, ins'allah, so I might have to get one just like that. Or sell me yours! And Sinnlover - yes. Perfect travel watch! Lume, WR, light, and stepping hour hand.
