Thanks for that, really interesting to see & learn. From university I went down a specific route & friends went to work in banking / hedge funds.
Wishing I’d learnt some of the skills they had / have despite having left & not having all the tech benefits it brought.

Well, at the time of his buying it was the dip. it just dipped a bit further since. Plenty of space underneath for some more dips.
Rumour has it that Micky Saylor is currently negotiating terms for another bond. I doubt he will find any more crazy investors to lend him money, but after all it's 2021 and there is an idiot at every street corner.

On a serious point…..if you’re short a stock and it does go to zero, presumably you lose everything too?
Would it not also be impossible (or very hard) to find a buyer for your short stock if the company was expected to go to zero?
If your short you have to give the stock back at some point. If it goes to zero presumably you never have to pay it back ?

Why would I need a buyer if I am the one who is short?
If the stock gets cancelled, I don't need to buy it back. If it doesn't, I can buy it for the pennies it will trade at. I win either way, it is the ultimate best possible outcome for my shorting trade.

I never thought I’d become so fascinated with shorting stock positions, this thread is a real eye opener, that plus all the general crypto stuff, it’s still mad to me something with zero intrinsic value can make so much money

I was thinking that the value of your short trade would only be numbers on a screen until it’s complete, with the stock bought (sold) back and the original stock lender reimbursed. If that couldn’t happen due to the company going bankrupt then the money on your screen cannot be realised.
Obviously I’m wrong, as usual. My brain hurts.
How much does each trade cost to execute?
Platform dependant, but I imagine Raffe pays a few cents per trade
