The naysayers said El Presidenté would never mine a single Sat using geothermal power in El Salvador.

    Today they did.

The naysayers said he would never do it at cost.

Obviously anything is possible if you are willing to throw indefinite resources at it.

You know nothing about crypto finance if you haven't traded leveraged fractional jpegs yet.

There is no way this isn't going to make everybody rich and happy.

You've got to admire the ingenuity I guess, get a few pence or a couple of quid from millions of people for 'fuck all' but a idea and a platform and you are set.

At this point, another friend suggested that he should consider bidding on zombie NFTs. His first purchase became that of Cozom Zombie, a top-three NFT in its category. He purchased the NFT for 850 ETH followed by CryptoPunk #8472, and Rhino Zombie, marking the beginning of his NFT journey.

I think Raffe makes more dough than most of us, literally and metaphorically— but to suggest he rolls it out is blasphemy

    Edit: beaten to it

Take your pick from money laundering, wash trading, pumping and dumping or any other practice that's illegal on regulated markets.

LOLZ, somebody had to do the calculation: Bukele spent $4,672 worth of electricity to mine $269 worth of bitcoin. And that doesn't even account for what he spent to buy the mining machines.

50k passed with very little resistance

    This makes me happy :-)

A nice story too: local to me, a young lad has started a large renovation project of an old run down building in town, to convert into much needed housing.

All funded from a mining rig he set up a few years ago

    Rest in poverty

Jokes aside, I have taken some profits here as insurance against a black swan, which feels increasingly inevitable.

At this point I can’t see what more China can offer fud-wise. As far as the crypto market is concerned they’re gone and we move on without them.

However this Evergrande thing isn’t going away, the can is just being kicked down the road. On the plus side, it will crash all markets and not just crypto, so our resident nemesis will be left just as poor as we are, whichever asset class it is that he does actually believe in!

Not selling here; I’m increasingly thinking “duck, or no dinner” with this

Not sensible perhaps, but if cashing in isn’t life-changing, I’m not seeing the point

I think it's sensible as long as you are consistent with your strategy. There are people who have reached life-changing outcomes with bitcoin or other crypto, it's just going to be more difficult given the high base.

Good luck, or should I say 'have fun getting rich'?
