Going to Hong Kong at the end of November with the wife.
As always, she’ll be spending some time shopping without me.
Where should I go to enjoy some watch-related stuff? Shopping center with multiple ADs or pre-owned watch shops?
All tips welcomed.
Honkers is full of watch places. I purchased my subc from the 1885 mall I think its called, loads of high end watchs though.
For interest prada and mui mui have a "discount" shop out there with relative bargains. I did ask if the discount had already been applied to the price, that was meet with a roll of the eyes and a polite laugh. So the answer is no, no its not

Man I loved Hong Kong. You dont really need to hunt for watches, they are literally everywhere!!! Rolex signs all over the damn place
Never seen so many sports cars also.
Fantastic place
If you're in town for this event, it's the watch event to go to:

Otherwise Mong Kok has this:

And if you're after vintage:

Thank you all for the suggestions!
I fear that there are too much to see and I’ll miss the best ones!
My experience of HK is of being pestered on every street corner in Kowloon to go to a Rolex shop or to buy a made to measure suit. Fascinating place tho.

Sino center in Mongkok for various used and new Seiko + G-shock.
Trendy Zone also in Mongkok, baseman and 1st floor for Seiko etc.
Make sure you do our homework before going in those shops for 2nd hand watches
Lots of jewelry shops along Nathan road are also selling Rolex Omega etc.
Was never offered drugs. Phillipino hookers yes, drugs no.....

Hong Kong is one of the places in the world where if you didn’t care or know about watches before, you would have done after your trip. Enjoy!
I go to HK once every few months for work and it's heaven for a WIS. There is an AD on every corner in Central!
Just my opinion, but I would be very vary of vintage in HK, particularly the big R. You better know your stuff inside out if you do decide to purchase an iconic vintage rolex piece. I mean the truth can be said for any other Rolex vintage piece in any other country, but the way the market has heated up has led to a lot of suspicion of manufactured vintage pieces in the Asian market.

My only concern when buying vintage watches in Asia is the risk associated with the watch having spent a very long time in a high humidity climate. For that reason I always want to have a very close look outside and inside. I wonder if I'm being unreasonably paranoid.
First things first: get yourself a decent holiday beater:
