    Lange?

Is this any kind of Lange anyone has seen before?

    Cripes that's awful

Someone at my table was wearing it last night. Said he had borrowed it from 'a collector'. I thought I knew a bit about Lange, and have owned a couple, but haven't seen this particular reference before. Apparently it's quite rare because the top dial operates on an automatic movement and the bottom one is quartz.

Ah yes, that would be the eBay Hommage special limited edition.

A special edition for the Chinese market, only sold through a dealer in Temple Street Night Market in Hong Kong.

I mean, what's it supposed to be? It doesn't even look like a Lange. The guy was a bit put out when I suggested tactfully that it might not be genuine.

He’s been rumbled and he knows it. No two elements of the watch are congruent, even the strap. Silly bugger.

That one is absolutely phenomenal though. Very well known model and totally stunning (to me).

No, that's a moonphase of sorts, although in close up the moon looks very much like the sun representation in Teletubbies.

Not even a decent effort at a Lang copy!

It must be a rare prototype.

I'd love to know what he would have said of really pressed on it.
