See what I did there!
I'm lucky enough to own this titanium Royal Oak Offshore which I normally wear on a rubber strap but, today, switched to the bracelet.
Nothing else in my watchbox feels as good to wear and makes me smile like this watch.
I know there are a few owners on TZ, so please share your pics.
In my opinion, they look better in the flesh than in pictures. Get to an AD and see for yourself .
Really like these, a good alternative to a PP ??
They look a bit more showey than a PP but more robust, bussiness like in a way.
Patek just seem out of my range and its not like you can even go and try one on anywhere, these seem more easily accesable and available,
especially in my range.
Probably be a white dial for me also.
Same here, I had the 5167 for a month and it didn’t even leave the house, there’s no knocking the quality of craftsmanship it looked and felt amazing but just like you say delicate, not in a fragile way but just so light and finely polished.
I can understand the attraction and still waiting on the travel time version but for me one PP is enough in my collection, on the opposite side even though the Ti44 is light it’s feels very robust and a joy to wear.
Fingers crossed I should have my grail AP next year which would pair nicely with the ROO and then the one PP, after last weeks ALS private viewing I trying to talk myself into needing a watch on leather to get the ALS 1 moonphase.
That’s should be a nice collection.
As for Rolex I’m currently meh...
I’d love to see more shots!
I’ve seen it once in person but only under strong AD lighting, off the back of this I did try and hunt down the very first batch of Ce ROO’s which were released with the black FC dial (6-12month run I believe) before switching to the anthracite.
Just wish my taste would work with the gold and blue.
A couple of my favourites from my collection
The 44 rose gold I wear very little but it's a fantastic piece I also have it in steel and recently added the titanium with the ceramic bezel , I added the Royal Oak this year and absolutely love it, looking to add the blue dial rose Chrono on the blue leather strap this year hopefully, love this thread Steve didn't realise there was so many AP fans on TZ
Cheers

Just to be a bit different: my "Huitième" . . .
I bought this new from Wempe in Hamburg in 1994. The RO was also available at that time, but I thought (and still think) the Huitième very much more elegant. As in so many areas, history has shown my views to be with the minority!
Rolex Oysterquartz (17000) stainless steel beater; Cartier Santos quartz in steel/gold for dress wear; Audemars Piguet Huitième chronograph in yellow gold; Glashütte Original Senator Excellence (classic dial) in steel; Glashütte Original Panoreserve (blue dial) in steel.
Need more . . . .

The AP site appears to say that the steel 15202 two-hander is solely available with a blue dial, whereas the 15400 and 15450 either side of it sizewise have black and white options as well.
If I was ever going to get a truly high end sports watch, the 15202 would be the one I would choose over everything else from AP and Patek.

Really loving the AP's in this thread. I've not had the opportunity to try one on, would I get away with a 42mm or 44mm Royal Oak Offshore with a 6.7" wrist? I have always wanted a bumble bee but not seen one in the wild.
I also love the AP diver white dial, can the slim wristed get away with one?
I really want to get myself an AP this year, a lot of them (and the more reasonable/available used ones) seem to be 42 mm. Tried various 42mm AP's and they are just too small. Love the one Pitbull has just don't want to spend that much on a new one.

I had a few Rolex’s I never worn so consolidated them.
One thing I’ll stay is the ROO are not going to get much cheaper, AP had a price realignment on the 44 last SIHH which saw the prices dropping, the Ti is lower then the outgoing SS and the new Ce is only a few thousand over the Ti were as it used to be price around the RG.
Hence why you see the older SS and Ce used prices not far off the new models.
Discounts are not what they used to be but you can still sort 10% off them at an AD.
I absolutely love AP. I think they have a very cool low key yet high end appeal and look. Of course they are big and in your face in some cases but they still manage to be slightly understated and yet, you have the history and depth in the manufacturing and movements. I don't think my small wrist could pull it off plus, I don't have the income to be honest but I still enjoy the company and what they do.
Here’s a couple of mine;

I love mine and can see myself getting another - love the Rose gold. I rotate with the DSSD cameron at the moment.
