    RIP Harry Dean Stanton

Seen him in so many great and not so great movies throughout my life - it's only when you list his credits that you realise the extent of his work. Apparently a lovely bloke too.

91, so a good innings. RIP

I don't need much of an excuse to sling 'Paris, Texas' on...

First time I really noticed him was in Repo Man, who is this guy who shows up in all the good movies?

Certainly Paris, Texas was his great role and a very moving performance; memorable too (for me, at least) in Two Lane Blacktop.

Incredible actor with great screen presence. Even his cameo roles are worth watching.

Shame, but 91 is a good innings.

I'm a big David Lynch fan and HDS appeared in many of his films and was even in the last series of Twin Peaks where I guess he must have been around 90!

    Great character actor.

    RIP.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

I never comment on these threads usually, but when I read this I softly said "oh no" out loud. Great actor, super performances.
