Picked up a load of great old 40's - '60's American mags at the boot sale on Sunday.

My Mrs was stalled out at the boot sale so I had a bumble round to see what was going on and I came across a great old collection of 25 old American mags from the late 40's to the '60's.

I am keen on old American cars and had a nice chat with stallholder so picked one up and asked the price.

He said as I was obviously a fan I could have whole lot for £3!

A lot of great reading there for the money.

    Here's a sample..

    Cheers,
    Neil.

If any other them include a 1965/66 Fastback Mustang I'd happily take that off your hands.

I remember the Mechanix Illustrated ones - great bit of nostalgia you got there.

I have a book of adverts (American) from 50s-60s - which is great to flick through, marveling at the way they advertised cigarettes, cars and household appliances back then………

I love that stuff, very Mad Men.

Many of the mags have Camel cigarette ads on the back - apparently recommended by doctors!

Ads in there for uranium for purchase too.

I recently picked up at a boot sale 100 postcards of old Sci-fi, horror etc comic book covers for a quid!

    Cheers,
    Neil.
