    Opinions on these 2

fancying one of these 2 ,same price, both got pretty pictures on the dial ,I've never seen any in the flesh ,omegas a bit bigger, but I've never had a German,so I'm leaning towards the GO

The GO comes across as much more classy altogether.

I'm a speedmaster pro manual fan (I have one) but not of any of the other models within the speedmaster range to be honest. I prefer the GO out of the two, a more elegant and unusual dial. I maybe wrong but isn't the quality of the GO thought to be considerably better than omega's at that price point?

They are quite different watches, but I much prefer the GO, it is a beauty.

Contrary to the other opinions I would pick the Speedmaster. I think it's a good looking watch in blue, less so with a black dial.
The GO does nothing for me.

Speedmaster is too fussy and the GO is a mess

GO in my opinion. The panomaticlunar is one of my favourite watches.

    The Omega.

    Hate those GO asymmetric dials.

Beauty in the eye of owner and all that but that GO is really unattractive for me.

    The Speedmaster is lovely.

The GO is the classier watch but, for me, the Speedmaster would be much more versatile and therefore wearable day to day

Edit - should add that if it was my money id get the GO

The GO for me - I think it's a thing of beauty!

I have the 'older' GO PML XL in anthracite. IMO this newer version is a bit of a mess with the sub second dial not fully cutting out the time dial. Also don't think it really works in blue. The white is much nicer if you can't find the anthracite (which I think is the best!)

These are certainly very different watches.

If you like simpler and more refined - GO.
If you like sportier and symmetrical - Speedy.

I'd personally not reduce my choice down to those 2, as I'd have gone towards one or the other's style / type further back in the decision making.

The Glashutte Original for me but then I might be biased.

That Speedmaster simply doesn't look as clean as the classic models do, the shape of the moonphase display ruins the circles within circles design of the watch.

The GO is a fail because of that rectangular date window. They had to put something in the - otherwise gaping - space but a rectangle wasn't the right solution.

    So, neither.

Glashutte for me, love that dial arrangement. Always had a soft spot for dials like this though - ever since I first saw an A. Lange & Sohne.

To me the GO just seems a waste of available dial space. I admit it's a handsome thing but just not for me.
I'm not really an Omega guy but that looks much better than black dialled variants.

    Neither.

For the same (or much less) money - there are much more coherent designs (imho).

Am am I the only one ?

    Omega for me.

The GO is just a mess of randomly placed dials and (as has been said) a square date window when everything else is round. Not a fan at all.

Couldn't have put it better myself. There are better Speedmasters and the Go is a bit of a mess in my eyes. The black one posted does look better but still fails.

Just goes to show that everyone's taste is different.

I can vouch for the fact that GOs are beautifully built (as you might expect for a manufacture next door to Lange).

I am not such a fan of the moon phase (personal preference), but this is my favourite watch (even over my AP) . . . .

Panomaticlunar for me, unless there is a possibility to buy a Lange One in the future.

Omega for me, I'm not keen when the main dial almost becomes a sub-dial as is the case with this particular GO.

  33. #33
I need to add a pic of my GO. The finishing overall is higher than the omega and this watch sits as my most interesting watch in the collection. And it can dress up or down. I really do love it!

Really depends on what you want. One goes with the crowd, the other stands out from the crowd (but is a bit "marmite").

This would swing it for me

The GO every time for me. I've always found the idea of a moon phase in a sports watch a bit strange

Omega for me. I'm not a great fan of 'deconstructed' watches, although some can be very nice. But for me, the GO dial just feels like a couple of complications were randomly added to fill a space they didn't quite know what to do with. Now I know that isn't the reality, but it's just what the end result makes me think of.

Love the GO - this would be my choice (and is on my list for when one comes up at a reasonable price)

The omega is just another of the very nice speedmaster range, but too similar overall. I had the GSOTM which was great, and this is also nice, but doesn't stand out

As usual tastes vary, but for me Speedmasters don't look like that one. I'm sure it's a great watch, but it just looks overdone and too busy for me.

The GO is looks far better. They are a little quirky with their dial layouts, but you can't deny the obvious quality of execution on them.

I'd opt for the blue Speedmaster but, then again, those two words combined would beat most other watches out there for me!

I have wanted the GO for a long time, but I genuinely feel that is looks a lot nicer in pictures than in real life. The blue just doesn't speak to me in person.

Are they really the same price? crikey - the GO by a county mile, no competition.

  46. #46
The GO looks like it was 'designed' by someone with visual aphasia. Personally, I prefer the classic 3 subdial Speedmaster.

Ps. I should add, I'm in the camp that the only speedmaster is the original and that 3.5k is 2k too much - so discount my opinion.
