Kim Jung Un. What's he wearing

Patek? What do you think? I know Putin had a fancy piece on his wrist. This looks calatravaesque All I know is Tudor dodged a bullet (or an ICBM) when Kim turned down the "ambassador for the brand" role

I don't know about the watch, but does he buy his trouser suits at the same place as Hilary Clinton?

    From last year:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-news...where-36869202

"North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's liking for expensive Swiss timepieces appears to have fallen foul of UN sanctions."

"The Swiss government has put an end to the export of luxury watches to North Korea, and have totalled zero for the last two months, US-backed Radio Free Asia reports. The North Korean Supreme Leader is often photographed wearing an expensive timepiece, and it's long been thought that they've reached the country despite United Nations sanctions."

Without wishing to sound like a miserable git, I actually do not give a ‘flying’ what watch fat boy is wearing, the IWC Portofino is not really any great shakes either, it only has a modified ETA movement!

The ETA 2892 is a superb movement, and comparable to a Rolex movement.

I'm curious as to why you would resurrect a two year old thread to tell us you don't care about it! Are there any other two year old threads you don't care about, I can't wait to find out ;-)

OK, I’ll bite. Talk to me about the differences between an ETA 2892 and Rolex movement.

Totally different designs with their own strenghts and weaknesses.
Both very good "tracteur" movements as the Swiss call it.
Reliable, well made. Approx. the same precision in the proper trim and with a bit of fiddling (also called: adjusting).

I wouldn 't say one is better than the other, both proven movemements.
