    Mostly love it.

I kind of don't like the stubby hour hand. Imagine it's fairly easy to mod it out though.

I think the black/blue 'batman' is the nicest, but the Monster hour hand has put me off so decided against buying one.

Did they widen the lugs this time round?

I've had the SRPB49K1 variant (pictured in OP) pre-ordered from Jura for a while now. Kind of wish I was getting the Pepsi now although that doesn't seem to be available in UK?

The rest of the world seems to have had theirs delivered too!

Having recently acquired a Samurai I have a new found appreciation for these watches
seriously tempted by the SRPB49K1 (as in original post) I'm liking the waffle dial and blue/grey combination
fingers crossed I'll find one on my travels next month

I picked one up yesterday - the black variant - really nice, feels like a step upmarket in quality from the Turtle and the textured dial makes it feel special

I also have the black variant on bracelet. Jury is still out for me, it looks very nice but it is big and after wearing my SARB all week at work I put this on at the weekend and it feels wrong.

I am going to wear it daily for the next couple of weeks and see if I adjust to it.

The size of the current crop of Seiko reissues comes up on various fora and I have to say I think they wear pretty small and flat to the wrist. This applies to the Turtle reissue and the Samurai - although I have large wrists and most watches aren't really huge on me, these wear much smaller than most modern ana/digi g shocks and are dwarfed by something like a frogman. Photos really don't ever reflect how a watch wears. I imagine most people with average sized wrists could wear one of these and easily forget they have it on, cuffs won't be an issue etc. If you're coming from wearing a dress watch you're kind of comparing apples and oranges. The proportions seem spot on to me too

Well of course it's all personal taste.

Sat next to my SKX007 it's clear the Samurai is a better looking watch but the 007 seems better proportioned (on an after-market Oyster).

I'll give it some time as it will probably grow on me with wear.

The stand out version for me is the black and gold one...

Agreed. Just a shame it doesn't come with a bracelet.

It's the much-too-short second hand that particularly bothers me - though both the minute and hour hands would be greatly improved if a bit longer! Classic mistakes by Seiko - fail! [Not too fond of the black-on-white date either.]

I think the second hand appears short as the lumed area is so far from the tip, which is a bit odd. The lume on the dial and indices is very white on mine matching the white on the date window, so a non issue for me
