Seemed to be an awful lot around Scotland... visiting lock ness there was one with "NES51E" on it (may have that wrong order but you get the idea)

The owner of the company I work for has 'B 5' on his Merc SL63 (his name is B.Scott)
Rumour has it the plate used to belong to Barry Sheene and my boss bought it after his death
On a Merc which passed me on the M6 a few years ago-
4 KEW
My near miss true story.... I recently realised my number plate of aspiration is LE5-7AH C. On looking on my driveway I found I already owned Lx57AHx. So close but so far

LA51 GET near me. A colleague who may/may not have taken drugs in his youth recently obtained AC10 FAN. His surname begins with FAN and he has it as ACID FAN
Pimlico Plumbers vans all have cherished number plates on them.
I see them about quite often and they all have stuff like BOG, LAV, LOO, RAD, WC, TAP, etc etc.
Must cost Charlie a fair bit of dosh.
Cheers,
Neil.
My neighbour has a mobile chip van, his reg is TWO4 COD, saw a lamborghini the other day with HE11 YEH, which made me smile.
There's a 1 Series BMW floating in the Redbridge area with an apt number plate reading BMW 123D.
Must be worth serious cash.
My lad managed to pick up P13 JNH. His nickname amongst his mates is Pie and his initials are JNH, so he just had to have it. I think it was only about £250.00.

A few years back in Puerto Banus a latest and greatest Ferrari was plated PR03 LEM which I thought was different.
Black Lamborghini MAJ1K drives by occasionally. BUG11 Bugatti in village.
One of my customers has 'TOP 1' and '11 TOP' he'd been offered over 250k for the first one many years ago!
There was a photo on a previous plate thread showing two cars side by side; 2B and NOT 2B!
VW 1 used to be owned by Ian Skelly - Liverpool and Glasgow VAG Garage owner - and he also had AUD 1.
Local BMW garage has 8 MW and I have seen A 11 and A 111 in same garage 25 years + ago
I Saw BUY IT in Stockport today on a Aston Martin V8
Vantage today. A relevant plate for my van would have been NO02 WAY

A11 FUN is on a BMW near us. Also seen KEY 21 used to be on e-type. 'Call' seems popular as in CA11 ASB.
Best I've seen lately is 1OO on a Merc.

I was talking to a guy yesterday who had a plate (11 LS) and he was telling me that he's always getting letters offering to buy it. Around 10 - 11 grand.
I am ashamed to say that I can't figure out what a few of the plates in this thread mean.
One of my neighbours is quite keen on dogs. Her plate is W0F (or WOF, not quite sure)
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
Back in the 80's, an acquaintance had GUM800T on his Range Rover and A51 FLY on his 911
And more money than sense...
Mine. I do Apple IT stuff for a living. Two of my 1,250 clients have 'got it' so far.
I've had a few good ones;
BUE11 X on a Buell motorcycle
S10 CBR on a Fireblade
R12 ONO on a Tuono
150 KNW on my first car a BMW 2000tii
DFF 843 on my first Porsche 924T
WTT 635 first 911
R4 RSY Golf estate
LIB 1313 another 911
And others I've forgotten.
We had a hire car due to a crash repair a couple of years ago which had a cracker of a plate KY11UBE
The Boxster thread just reminded me of the plate we had on one T80 XTR

BMW used to be a Swindon (Wiltshire) registration, from the 1960's through to the 1990's. Used to see loads of them around the town (common as muck, bit like the cars).
Apparently that's how Dick Lovett made his millions in the 1970's, because of the BMW plate thing. Started out as a BMW garage.
An old favourite I used to see (but haven't in a while now) was a lady driver in a red Peugeot 205GTI, with mis-spaced plate K15 SMY (another Swindon registration).
Chap round by me has the reg D4 RTH on his blackef out 911 variant - very apt as it does look like his helmet.
I have spotted V1 NYL on a Lambo who is a record shop owner I think.
Came to this thread expecting a restaurant review. Now I am disappoint.
Was on my x5 about 2 yrs ago and they messed up the mot re assign so it ended up on two cars as far as mot history site. I don't bother with the dodgy spacing anymore it has pretty much the same effect when legal. I have Y14MOT on retention as well if you have a garage and fancy it.
I had the same with a plate I transferred from one company car to another. I was pulled over by a traffic cop for an expired MOT, however the car was only 3 months old. It appeared my registration was against 2 cars at the same time.
Might want to check with the DVLA that the same hasn't happened to yours. Askmid doesn't come up with anything other than N14 MOT isn't currently insured.
Thanks for the offer but I already have more number plates than cars
I just saw GR0 2 SEL
I wonder what line of business he might be in?
Saw a plumber/dyno rod type van heading up the A1 in Yorkshire on Fri
PO02 ROD
Wanted a six digit plate for next motorbike ( larger seven digit plates look like sails )
The bike will be a Triumph 800XR so I found
T80
0XR

Driving on the M1 on Saturday I saw a BMW being driven by a rather attractive young lady.
Her number plate was F17TH X
I remarked to the missus "I wonder what she does for a living?", and then spent the next twenty minutes quietly speculating to myself.
So clever my foot fell off.
The plate G1PSY was on a matte orange wrapped Bentley convertible with an old gypsy fast asleep behind the wheel up at Appleby horse fair. There's a right few quid in cars up there driven by the travellers. Mind you one was trying to sell a stud horse for £20k to another when I was walking past, the seller saying "the stud would shag anything including you if you don't get out his field"....
Someone on here must have
L187 ARD
Any suggestions?
Saw a yellow Porsche at a watch fair with the plate MILL SUB.
