    A good plate ...

In Western Australia it is possible to buy plates with almost any letter/number combination, as long as it is not offensive etc.
I saw a split-screen VW bus yesterday with the plate
“SCR EEN” which i thought was clever.

I’ve also seen a Daihatsu Copen with the plate “BARELY” which took a while to work out…

Seen in Sydney but suspect the owner may be from Yorkshire:

When I was in Perth (2001) I looked into buying JB 1 it would have cost $99 and if I remember correct they supplied the plates as well for that price.

I saw FFF 7 on a fairly old Volvo XC70 the other day.

In the gloom this afternoon I drove past a 2004 Vauxhall Zafira 2.0ltr.
Surely one of the most forgettable cars in existance.

    Plate:

It's a reference to the King of Christmas, Michael (BU13LES) Buble. Taxi for Buble. It's Buble's taxi. Etc., etc..

That’s exactly what I saw in it but the West Ham reference is probably nearer the truth for the cabbie as there are lots of drivers out that way.

Saw JD1 today on a Pug 3008 - a plate that must be worth a small fortune.

I followed a Golf the other day, with the Reg number SAW 3. Fortunately, he didn't want to play a game.

Speaking of playing games, TEN1S is on a road near to me, I think. I'll try to get a photo next time, but it strikes me as one of these plates that's worth 10x what the car's worth!

I saw 8T the other day on a nice white BMW it hadent been messed with at all (not a lot to mess with) I read it as BT before I thought about it, someone at the top at BT ? I bet thats worth a tidy bit.

Followed the reg “C5” this morning in Northampton.
I’ve seen it before so probably local.
I didn’t recognise the vehicle but looked like a high spec Range Rover or something similar.
if I wasn’t driving at the time I would have taken a picture.
    I guess that’s a pretty costly plate.

I used to see MAT 1 on a 15 year old beat-up astra. Surely worth many times more than the car.

I like seeing beat up cars with plates on them massively worth more than the vehicle. I alway think says something about the owner.

Totally! There’s a new Lamborghini urus I see locally that has a £250 plate on and I always wonder why you’d bother.

You wouldn't want people thinking your Ursus was last year's model, would you!

There's an ordinary looking Mitsubishi SUV near me with MS3 on the plate, must be worth many times the car.

Saw this posted on Facebook the other day. When a plate is this difficult to work out, I don’t think it’s worth buying at all.

Not just the spacing, since when does 9=E?

I saw N4 NCY on a Merc a few days ago.

I also thought I saw DE51GNR on a Rangey (I've seen it a couple of times locally), but it doesn't come up on the government database. Hmmm...

I saw P555 OFF on an Astra quite recently which made me chuckle, and there's a couple of Merc Sprinters running BO55 MAT and MAT 80S.

Too early for an R prefix so a B5 is nearest……

Did see FR13NDS but was driving - I know, I know, a 3 is not an E but is accepted substitute.

The spacing was set out correctly so it wasnt instantly obvious.

I’m sure I used to regularly see that parked on a driveway on the A412 Iver Heath when I used to work in Slough?
