Can't say if this is a good plate, but thought I'd post anyway.

More likely the end bits of the plate have been altered, like the on with the "small engine" underneath

I hadn’t even noticed that with the 34CC - can’t see what it should be. Admittedly I don’t get near enough to get a good look.

Yup, not sure where the claim of not being a genuine plate came from.

    Needs a new MOT checker!

OK - bad pictures but best I could do. A pair of “name plates” that must have cost a few bob:-

P T67CAN on a Taycan today. Thought the owner was trying a bit hard with that. Spacing was as I've written it. 911 GE later on a red new 911.

I'm not sure which is more valuable - the plate or the car? Edit - apparently LaFerrari is worth around £3.5M and the plate maybe a tenth of that, so I guess that clears up that.

Someone around the corner from me has a small Peugeot hatchback with a plate something like PUG 200V (I forget the exact plate, but it's similar to that) - Must be a huge Peugeot fan, because I don't suppose the plate will add any value to the car at resale and everyone can see it's an older Peugeot hatchback...

Someone else, though (recently moved) had MS 3, which I was always a little envious of...

I put this on my bike - it’s a T7 and was sub £200 - just sort of liked the idea that was something a bit unique to the bike

I see on their TV advert they use CUP12A. Wondered if it was real as most companies use one they can be read if played the other way (when showing LHD). Turns out it is a real number - sold at DVLA auction in 2005 for £1000

Saw this today. Anyone seen a greater ratio/multiplier between the price of the plate and the price of the car?

(Edit - funnily enough I saw it twice today, once parked in LIDL carpark. Maybe that's how they can afford such a plate!)

In another thread, way back in 2020, I wrote about reg. no. AG1 which sold for £200k at an auctioneers in Ayr in 2015. I had seen the car locally many, many times.

I saw the below today and thought it looked pretty decent for what I assume must have been a fairly reasonable price. I thought it was on a VW Polo but was actually an older Golf

I’ve seen this plate quite regularly- 86 O
Very distinctive looking….. I note it’s now on a retention certificate
and coming up for auction soon on Collecting Cars…

I recall seeing A1 on a mini in Park Lane circa 20 years ago, think that must be the largest multiplier between value of plate vs value of car. I just checked and I see it is on a Cooper S now, I think it was a Mini One when I saw it.
