Lovely Heuers and great pics as well
A sheer delight looking at these.
May be other vintage Heuers can post theirs as well.
I confess to being lacking in this department.
During the summer break i had the pleasure of bringing home some of my favourite vintage Heuers from the security box, to photograph. Its horrible to admit it but i rarely have my watches home in bulk for fear of a break in whilst i'm out. So it really was a joy to see them together and get the chance to photograph them on a fine scandanavian afternoon.
Now i dont claim to be a great photographer but i had some luck in the hit & miss black art known as photography.
The camera - a hum drum Iphone 5S , but lets not get bogged down in the details , enjoy these treasures with me

The Monaco is so cool it almost hurts
Absolutely amazing collection....thanks for sharing
Absolutely brilliant, a fantastic collection. Thanks for sharing
Fantastic collection; especially impressed with the timeline of 1133 Monaco's.
Would love to own a vintage Autavia or Monaco but feel that ship has sailed with the prices commanded for a good one.
Edited to mention the dashboard clocks and mounting plate....super jealous
Thanks for posting
An absolutely fantastic collection of watches

Wow - some extremely rare and desirable watches there.
I have always favoured the Carrera range, but those early autavias have a bucket load of character.
Wonderful. Those autavias are lovely
Excuse my ignorance.. what's the story with the paintless chronomatic?
Thank you.

It's a particular batch of blue dialled monacos that had a paint fault I believe, but correct me if I'm wrong. Lovely!

That grey 73633 with the steel band is just awesome, my favourite Monaco.
Cracking collection. I can't carry off the square cases but it is an iconic look. Any Heuer with Orange just seems such a great combo. I've only the one but it's going nowhere for now. I still regret not buying the 3647t that was in SC a year ago...
Mjgerrard has answered correctly above but to give a little more detail its most likely that these pre-proction Chronomatic dials were either
a./ not treated with a a form of clear top coat to hold the finish stable
Or
b./ the dial maker was still in the experimental stage of using the blue paint & was unaware it would fail at a future point.
Either way I'm blessed to own this mutant. ;-)
Great collection Darren!
I've managed to avoid being bitten by the Monaco bug (but still have an Autavia itch!).
The Monaco is a very special watch and those are especially beautiful.
I have a real soft spot for these and for square/rectangular dials in general, however I always seem to forget this when considering a new purchase, as I have none in my collection!
I'll have to remedy that with my next watch I think, however the funds are eluding me at present...
Superb examples. Just don't see these often . Many thx

That is some collection, very nice :)
That's a great set of watches you have there, and it's refreshing to see the word "joy" being used rather than "future values" and "residuals".

love the heuer history
love your collection
a joy indeed
Very very nice. I love the old Monacos
It's just a matter of time...
The three autavias with the oversized sub dials are just amazing. Makes me keen on the idea of a birth year watch again (1963).
