Do it. I love breitlings and don't find them big - 6.25-. 5 wrists.
I said I'd never buy new again but I'm on holiday and think I'm going to buy a new avenger hurricane 45
I really like the look of this one.
I know from on line comments that the watch is marmite and in particular the dial and the cut off numerals have attracted a level of criticism.
Does anyone on the forum have one that they want to admit to?
My main concerns are price and size. I don't have large wrists (6 3/4") and at 44mm I would need to try it on as I can't reference the overall lug to lug dimensions online.
Also, to balance finances out a little I would need to sell my orange bezel 2500 Planet Ocean.
As usual all comments welcomed

If you sell the orange 2500 for this then you will regret it!
As a Breitling fan I have to say this does not really appeal to me. If you want a Breitling 3 hand watch around the 44mm size then either an older Steelfish or Headwind would be better and you could probably get both for less than the asking price of the SO 44 Special.
I like the look of the breitling will need to check it out, dont think i could bring myself to buy new either though
Keep the Omega.
I have this thing with black watches - I like them, buy them, don't wear them and then sell them (at a loss). Not keen on the clipped numerals either.
Thanks guys for the comments so far. I have seen this watch lots of time in an AD window.
Always looks really cool among the s/s versions.
It is too expensive new so I would need to get a really good deal.
Do it- if you can get NEW at 40% off or a preowned at half the RRP-not that difficult.
I like the watch but the problem is Breitling's inflated prices and the beating on secondary market.
Omega PO can always be reaquired.
I wouldn't buy another Blacksteel Breitling simply because they claim that they cannot be refinished, so if the case gets damaged, you'll have to fork out for a replacement, which could get quite expensive.
To give you an idea, retail on a Blacksteel clasp for rubber straps is £580. I imagine that a whole case would be a lot more than that
I'm looking at the new breitlight - carbon plastic mix so will be black all the way through. New age stuff that nobody likes. The lightest watch I've ever tried.
Love everything apart from the cut through 15 and 21
It's just a matter of time...
I like black watches and have a few but I am struggling with that one tbh. I think it is the very white print on the very dark black - reminds me too much of a Luminox. I do like the limited black ones they did before but that looks too black to me but not in a natural way if that makes sense- it may be the photo though?

Looks militant and for that reason I like it a lot
How
Much are they?
I'm a fan of this model and have been tempted myself. I have similar writs to you and have tried it on and didn't find it too big which was a pleasant surprise. They have also just released non coated versions in black and blue as well. The blue version looks lovely.
classic breitling, i love my superocean its just, beautiful to look at.
I do like breitlings but never why do they put the stupid 13-24 marking on the dial!!! just adds more clutter and is totally pointless, especially with some of them cut off, keep the PO I would say
Tried on two Superoceans tonight in a local AD. They were a bit big for me tbh. While in I also tried the Night Mission which was nice but I wished the dial was a deep black rather than a grey black.

That's one of the most badass looking breitling's I've ever seen, LOVE IT! :D
Then there's the old Steelfish too. These are very good buys in the preowned market right now. I love this model.
I love that your AD shrinkwraps the watches. They do this a lot in the US thus meaning if you buy a display model, it remains unmarked.
