    Water

I'm putting my old stuff from PB on to the new SmugMug account and thought I'd stick a few shots up, but under different groupings, there's no way I'm going to attempt to restore old threads here and elsewhere. These will have been elsewhere but grouped with other pictures using different criteria. So, all shots with water, it's never the same twice but usually interesting . . .

Is it as dangerous as it looks in that boat?

Only to anything not waterproof that you fail to put in the dry-bag or if you happen to be the Wicked Witch of the West. You do tend to get very wet indeed.

That's a great shot, lovely subject and you balanced the light and contrast very well. Re time passing, going through my files for upload after the PB debacle it's almost depressing how old some are! :-( ;-)

That's a truly lovely image and would be great enlarged and framed.

I haven't spent much time photographing water, but on a recent trip to Scotland took a couple of shots I was happy with.

I've said it before Bob, but this really is a great shot on many levels.

    Terrible stuff, water.

    It's ruined many a photo.

The two shots above are lovely, but although the thread is about water I'm drawn to the infrastructure of the buildings, ie the texture of the bricks and stones, the shapes of the windows etc etc, which is great to zoom in to and study. Thanks.

It's still very lakeworthy, thats a well developed patina.
They do rot through eventually, the Uros just cut a load of reeds and make a new one.

I absolutely adored the islands of Lake Titicaca, one of the most tranquil places that I've ever visited.

Ta for the reply. The look of the boat reminded me of Thor Hyerdahl's Ra and RaII craft. Of course his more famous Kon Tiki sailed from Calleo in Peru, so sort of a link there too.
