Not sure if they have an app, but I switched to ImgBB recently and it's great.
It's free, no adverts and works really well on iOS.
I created an account so I can make albums etc.

Trying to force you to upgrade for third party hosting…. So, time to go
What are the decent app based alternatives?

I have started using Imgur in a small way, when I don't use Tapatalk for image hosting. Seems OK if you ignore the random people rating your pictures (not hard to do).
I'm also a pb refugee.
Tried and found imgur and Flickr too fussy.
Now use postimage. No app though, Web based.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I never had a problem with PB until just now, so I'll be downloading my albums later, then run a software on the Mac to make sure nothing's duplicated or missing, then off to find a replacement. Might even set up a site and host my own stuff.
F.T.F.A.
This is really odd and have the same issue on various sites.
When I copy the image code from imgBB and the sane for postimage, which is this
[img]https://image.ibb.co/f79njq/img_1005.jpg[img]
I get the following code when I paste, which obviously does not work.
%5Bimg%5Dhttps://image.ibb.co/f79nJQ/IMG_1005.jpg%5B/img%5D
How can it copy a different code from what I copy?

Pb used to be great
I don't know how a company like that has managed to shoot themselves so successfully in the foot.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

does what it says on the tin
OneDrive.
Anybody know how to post a photo from Flickr? every time i try and do it, it just posts a link...
Photobucket has been getting quite slow and craching a lot for me when sorting through albums. I wouldn't have minded a small fee for the service but to go from free to $40 a month is a bit much!!
Just did a quick google search about the BB code on Flickr, it's no longer available to new users, hence why I couldn't find it. Looks like i'll have to try a different site
I just this minute received a nasty email from PB saying they've restricted my account due to excessive third party hosting.
Bye bye PB!
I've just tried imgBB and postimage on my android phone and all works fine.
Perhaps a compatibility issue with IOS?
I took this opportunity to delete all my photos from PB and then close my account - just in case they have a change of heart - and it feels good to be free of their perpetual nonsense.

Well that didn't work

Anyone a good suggestion how to mass-download the images from Photobucket?
I right-clicked and selected "copy image address" and then pasted that inside the image tags you get when you click on the Insert Image button
Photobucket has been going downhill a while now. Got fed up with the slow loading and all the fecking ads, really slowed down everything I was doing on the computer at the time. Good riddance!
I have been trying to download a few albums, however it never works as the reCaptcha expires before the download begins. Have tried again just now and it opens zillions of pop-ups with ad and video content. I am truly horrified....
I just switched uBlock back on for Photobucket; and not only have the annoying pop-ups disappeared but now the download works. One step closer to happiness.
Being held to ransom to the tune of $399 for one years 3rd party hosting as per their email received today. I don't bloody think so!
Hopefully they have well and truly shot themselves in the foot with this "marketing ploy" and will soon disappear for good.
Now using Tapatalk (which is far easier)
Ok ImgBB seemed to work
web hosting images free
BB code full linked option
Ps - do you like my new watch? :-)

Interesting. I just posted some tests of postimage.io.
I note that neither site appears to give you any option about what size of thumbnail you get, but the imgbb default seems a bit more sensible. With postimage.io you get a choice between a tiny 180x180 thumbnail, or a "full size" version that is actually scaled down, but only to 1200 pixels wide, which is pretty big.
The only thing I don't like from a quick look at imgbb is that it seems very cobbled together with no thought whatsoever put into their T&Cs etc., which is normally a sign that they haven't thought about their business model, legal rights & obligations, etc., and are liable to change things as soon as they get their first unexpectedly large bandwidth bill through. There's a limit to how much any such site can be trusted, but postimage looks a bit more trustworthy.
The biggest risk with sites like this, other than doing a PB and holding data to random, is that they change their links so that they no longer just go to a benign HTML page with the full image, but instead start injecting pop-under porn ads, malware, etc. Googling for more information about imgbb turns up a different imgbb site which is completely malware ridden. No way to know if it's the same people behind both sites.
I've just downloaded all my photos from PB and deleted my account
It felt good.
I used the PB app and uploaded on the TZ-UK Tapatalk app. Trouble is I can only upload one photo per post.
Sent from my iPad using TZ-UK mobile app
Not sure if it can be linked in posts, but Google Photos is great. Automatically backs up from my wife's Samsung, can then clear the handset and download any time via desktop, iPad etc.
