Few biggish size rain drops in Chester....
Might need a thunder buddy later.

I shall be out dancing in it when it comes.
I do hope so as the lawns are starting to suffer. Just for a few hours and then another week of lovely hot weather (and repeat).
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

We got one heavy shower for about ten minutes.
Plenty of showers just missed, and not a single flash or bang.
No flash or bang but do feel it needs it, still very warm, muggy, clamy - whatever you want to call it
that radar is wrong, it shows rain over me in SE19 and not a drop has fallen (yet) its not rained here for 52 days.
Did you survive? Spare a thought for Edinburgh and environs: map.
But even there it's no moved out to sea.
Since 6am today it's been lashing down, thundering and only 14 degrees here in Northumberland. BBC has been rattling on all day about the "hottest day the country has had since...." but it's not been the case everywhere. I even had a text stating that read out on BBC 5live breakfast this morning - my three seconds of fame
This morning they were forecasting thunderstorms for today. There are a few building on the South coast, but it looks like a humdinger has been going on west of Paris and is heading north:
Edit They're still forecast for tonight, tomorrow and into Monday morning: MetOff Warnings

Here in the Netherlands the South was flooded last week. Further north it is still dry as a bone. For the forth week in a row. Daily temps between 23 and 30C. I always think that this sort of weather will jinx the summer holiday in 8 weeks or so...

I watched the storm last night as it passed to the northeast. Lots of sheet lightning and not very noisy. It seems that I wasn't alone in this, but I didn't get to see any of the 'Spectacular' lightning strikes.
A few short sharp showers here on the south coast and a nice light show late last night that went of for hours. Bit more lightning and thunder early this morning
No rain or storms whatsoever where I am in Cambridgeshire, storms forecast for all day today but it’s been bright sun & steaming hot !
That agrees with the Met Office forecast (link). The 'chance of precipitation' is very low (max 10% tomorrow), but you're still on a yellow warning:
...so if it does rain where you are, you're likely to get quite a storm (ie unlikely but high impact).
Huge storms here in Padstow last night

Thundering and lightning, very very frightening..... in Essex last night. Lashing down too. Had to have the dog upstairs on the bed with us until she calmed down.
I didn't think that it would get this bad...flash flooding across Birmingham.
See also Flood warnings for England.
Floodgates are open now! *Must not panic! 60 HP 4.4 meter RIB next to the house... We're safe.
The first of the showers has gone now. According to the meteo radar this is only the beginning for this evening. The T-storm came from the east. Trees and shrubs are 'not used' toa storm from the east! Tons of leafs and branches in the park adjacent to my house. There are twigs with oak leafs on them in my garden. The closest oak tree to the east is nearly 100m away. Amazing!

Red out out here in the Baltic 28c in Copenhagen today no rain forecast for the rest of the trip St Petersburg and the rest
And you're on a yellow warning for thunderstorms today (link). Hopefully nothing major, if anything at all.
It was scorching hot in the Lake District (great time to go camping!) and no sign of rain around Manchester....we could do with some in Stalybridge to put the moor fires out!!
Apparently that was a first for the Met Office...BBC link.
I'm starting to get interested in the UK forecasts, especially the ones for Plymouth area. (2.5 weeks from now)
Mrs V is working in Wiltshire at the moment and told me that it was raining there a couple of hours ago.
Still hot and dry in London at the moment. Theres a bit of cloud but nothing dark and foreboding.
I love a good storm with proper thunder and lightening. Hope that we get one soon.
I don't think that these will offer anything you are not already aware of, but here goes:
Currently stuck on the A5 near Lutterworth at a stand still. Puddles like lakes have flooded some cars

I hope so, we haven't had a drop since mid May!
very low chance of rain in london apparently. Just a 60% chance of a shower. http://meteoradar.co.uk/
It's all wet outside!
Not very wet, just a very light shower.
Here’s an odd one: being in Devon, I see large patches of land being brown and yellow. Since this is my first encounter with the Devon landscape, my mind is Convinced(!) that this Mediterrainian look is normal! I have a hard time to imagine that most yellow patches have to be green!
From the homefront in NL: forecast is that the heatwave will continue for at least 15 more days. And the 40 C forecast for later this week in the Eastern part of NL is getting more and realistic!
Apart from the yellow patches in Devon. Again guys, the scenery and views on the water are breathtaking as well! We went out in the RIB and the boys in the Lasers. They sailed up to the point beyond the Breakwater. That’s technically the Ocean! I have never, never sailed on a more beautiful piece of water like this. Perhaps the sun helped a lot, but I can not describe how beautiful it was
Some drops for 10 mins in South Devon around midnight. And now (8 am) as well

Yellow warnings for the South East posted but haven't seen a drop in North London. Not quite sure how that forecasting works .
Moderate temps for the next 7 - 10 days here: 20 - 25C and only some rain at the end of next week. Last night was very, very hot. The living room temp was still 26C around 7AM. Outside things are better now so I've opened all windows and French doors to cool down the house.
(My oldest is leaving for Athens for the European Championship under 19 Laser sailing. Once in Athens, he's stepping into a furnace, I'm afraid. The sailing instructions demand headgear (cap etc) and long-sleeved lycras to prevent sunburn).

I am sitting here on my veranda in Spain and the temperature at 9.30am is 26 and rising. The sky is bright blue with the odd very small clould in the distance. It will probably be like this for a few months ahead.
Reading about your rubbish weather in the UK makes me realise why the majority of you lot keep moaning your socks off about anything and anybody.
Right now you all have my genuine sympathies.
I've put the heating on. It's July 2nd. WTF?
My wife watched my youngest for an hour at football training tonight wearing a t-shirt, hoodie and a jacket. She came in numb. Had to have a shower and put the heating on to warm up.
Honestly, one of the worst summers I’ve ever known. Very similar to four of the last five and nine of the last ten.
Forecast for the rest of the week is cool and wet with threat of torrential storms. FFS.
We had good summers here in 2003 and 2018.
