    That's true.
But I think they need a world class undercard to charge that. And then I think it's too much
Be interesting to see the ppv figures after the fight

  8. #108
What time will it be on in the UK? I won't be paying £80 but happy to watch it in the pub if it's on at a reasonable time.

Is it in Vegas? You're looking at between 4 and 5

It's in Vegas. The £80 is what it's going to cost in the US, but that's par for the course over there, a lot of high profile PPVs are around $100. We're not going to stomach that over here so I expect it to be around £20.

I think this will be a bit more than their standard tier of PPV, especially if they get an undercard put together. £80 would've been mental

WWE and UFC PPVs cost $50 - $60 in the states. It's crazy, I'd never pay that much.

Just seen it. They're both knobs but McGregor is an absolute twat. At the end of the day he's a big cheese in a minority sport but a complete nobody in the wider sporting world. Can't stand him.

What an utter circus that was today. Embarrassing.

Jesus. It's a bit like watching a school assembly that. Everyone knows what they're supposed to say. They just don't quiet manage to convince.

Well - 3am to 3.01am is more likely the accurate time.

This is such a mismatch. If there was some grappling involved it would be interesting. I just can't see McGregor landing a clean shot.

You can't argue with the marketing. However tacky and obviously contrived the whole show is, the punters are lapping it up.
The irish feller comes across as a good lad. Fair play to him. Those suits can't be cheap.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

After seeing that, I hope a bolt of lightening hits the ring and wipes the pair of them out. Have we really sunk THAT low?

How can you actually tell!? That picture on Instagram is impossible to zoom in without losing a huge amount of clarity!

I watched a Mayweather highlights video last night to remind myself how good he is. There's a clip where he rolls up his sleeve and says "check out the Richard Mille, $620,000 don't worry about us"

I don't usually read about sports things.

    Interesting read.
So mcgregor is quoting bill the butcher lines to mayweather (dance for me boy) or similarities and ranting about how the Irish built New York in the next sentence. I think he's confused

He's also laying into ethnic cultures about "building reebok sweatshops in favelas". He clearly missed how oppressed his own people have been over the centuries. Imagine mayweather starting with the potatoe jokes

I can't help believing that the entire thing is a scripted, pantomime, cash cow.

Similar to wrestling, it's a soap opera.

    The fight will be fixed.

Just like the metonymic of appeasement for the masses -
"Give them bread and circuses "

Yet we lap it up in droves

I'm sure the pub will do a lock-in but I couldn't stay awake for that long waiting for the fight to start.

I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago and they were stuffing this down everyone's throat endlessly. My overall feeling was the people really weren't that bothered and that everyone is aware it is a money making freak show.
