Any George Daniels owners on here?

If there were I guess they wouldn't admit it. And even if they did no one would believe them.

I've got the limited edition 'park life' minute repeater.

Oh, no sorry, that's a Phil Daniels.

I'm quite a fan of his range for the younger ones, Boy George.

FFS........I started a separate thread for questions like this........it's almost as bad as 'which watch should Ozzie the Labrador wear'!

    God loves a trier......

Seriously? Well I'm certain there WAS a thread on here only a few months ago in which someone popped up who owned a Daniels. Can't remember much about it or even what thread it was but remember hoping he'd come back and expand a bit (which didn't happen) as there was a good bit of 'ooh'ing and 'aah'ing when said watch turned up here.

I don't own a George Daniels watch, but I have a friend who does. Trouble is, it is so valuable that he keeps it in a security vault in central London and, literally, only handles it with cotton gloves. So it has become an investment, which is a shame.
I doubt that anyone treats these as normal watches, to be worn. They are part of horological history. This particular sample came from a vastly wealthy guy in the Middle East, who sold it to my friend as part of a complex business deal (not watches.) he later offered a lot more money to try to buy it back. No deal.
They seem 'lost' to normal watch fans. But then even a Roger Smith is unaffordable. And that's no George Daniels.

I hope that you're wrong and that someone uses theirs as intended - don't get me wrong - l wouldn't take one snowboarding.
If l could afford one, that person would be me. I'd wear it as often as l could out of respect to Mr Daniels.

I met a friend of a friend earlier this year who was wearing his Daniels Millennium watch as his regular wearer.

I got a close up look at it, an absolute thing of beauty.

Pretty sure anyone under 40yo would not know who Boy George is!

Watchmaking & the art of breguet.
Both really interesting books I would recommend.

Someone posted up a G Daniels wrist shot at Christmas either last year or year before in the Friday watch thread?

Photo been deleted but Ryan sums it up.
