What's the dumbest question you could ask on a watch forum to get your post count up?

    Ok guys, I`ll go first:

Today I`m taking the dog for a walk, it looks like rain so I`ll be wearing a waterproof coat and a pair of old walking keks (or possibly old jeans). I`ll be going around a smart area so I`d better have a shave and scrub up. At my age there's always the risk of a heart attack striking me dead too.

Taking all factors into account which of the following watches should I wear:

    Rolex Explorer 1

    Vintage 1950s gold Omega Seamaster

    70s bimetal Omega Constellation

    Cheap £15 Casio digital

    60s Omega Dynamic

    Wife's ceramic Armani

    none of the above

as ever, I appreciate your suggestions, your input is highly valued

Yes, hadn`t thought of that. He's actually my stepdaughter's Labrador so maybe I should consult her?..........wouldn't want him to give out the wrong message when he meets his doggy mates. I reckon the Casio would suit him....or maybe I should let him choose?

    Or even.

I'd take the vintage Seamaster, should alas the heart attack occur, you'd be pleased to know that you went down in style

I think we've had them all to be honest. At least, I can't think of any dumber questions than have been asked recently. "How do you fit a NATO?" was good.

Can the dog tell the time?
By smart area, are you town, village, city or coast?

In the absence of evidence to the contrary I assume that he can!

He also watches Rugby League on TV and I`ve trained him to support Trinity even though his owner's a Cas fan

Doe the strap match the colour of the dog? Is the rolex too fancy/expensive for the pedigree of the dog in question?

In your circumstances should you not be asking whether or not the Explorer 1 would survive the sort of miserable dour weather, including a possible torrential downpour, that the North of England is famous for ?

Best I ever read on here - was someone asking which of his watches he should wear for his wedding?

I advised that he should stay with his Mum - he wasn't ready for marriage.

I post on a number of forums and without doubt watch forums produce the most gormless questions and weird (plastic stickers?) people.

Surely the accused are not that weird/stupid in real life?

Actually, the 'which watch whilst sleeping' question has a modicum of logic. Something with good lume is useful, and a quartz watch is better. A mechanical will always be subject to positional variation to some extent; assuming the orientation of the sleeper's wrist isn't palm-down all night the watch will give a different performance compared to leaving it dial-up on the bedside table. It's almost certain to introduce more variability, so on that basis a quartz watch should be chosen.

back on topic.........doggy's had his walk, neither of us could decide which watch to wear so we went out watchless! Ozzie (the dog) forgot his phone, I don' t carry one, so neither of us knew the time. None of his doggy mates had their phones either and oddly enough none were wearing watches, so he didn't feel left out.

That may have been my question, I fancied a NATO for a Watch and with the help from some members of this Forum I have purchased a strap and tool for removing the spring bars to enable me to remove the old strap.

    I consider myself suitably chastised.

No, no one really says says 'talk to me about X'.

It crossed my mind today that maybe I should match the NATO strap on today's watch to my undies. I gave up because it appears they don't sell baggy-off-whitey-greyish-riddled-with-holes Nato straps to match on cheapassnatostraps.com. Any suggestions?

What is the best watch to wear while pleasuring oneself? Should it be shockproof, waterproof and easy to clean?

Any auto. Would keep the power reserve topped up.
Plus if the wearer were to be caught a simple explanation of "I'm winding my watch up" would absolve you of all dirty crimes

Funny you should mention that, just today I found a custom strap maker in Nigeria offering that exact configuration. $200 upfront by western union with delivery in 4-10 weeks, I'm very tempted
