They'll make a great pair, I'm a fan of both the Monaco and the Monza, but have neither, so would love to see some pics.

Which Monaco did you go for, Calibre 11, Calibre 12, or something older?

Didn't know too much about the Monza but I remember seeing Richard Hammond sporting one on the old Top Gear, looked very nice and that's what sparked my interest.

I recently passed my Monza on to my daughter as my wife was kind enough to spend some of our savings on a vintage Omega Seamaster for my approaching 60th birthday. My daughter had always loved the watch and I had promised I would leave it to her when my time on this planet ends. She just was gifted it early. However she has no idea of the value. One day I might just have to tell her.

Very nice, both this and the Monaco are so much nicer than some of tags more recent offerings.

Just out of interest, how do you find the fit? I had a Monza for a little while (humble 3-hander) but I found that the metal part of the deployant really dug into my wrist and it was most uncomfortable. I ended up selling it on and buying a Monaco (on a bracelet) instead. I have a lot of time for the Monza/Monaco/Silverstone/Autavia models but the rest of the TH range leaves me colder than a wet Tuesday in February in Carlisle.

I had the same issue with an AP, moved it on to a tang buckle and it became super comfy.

Have liked these for awhile, but any comparison shots with a Monaco anybody?
The Monaco is a big old watch so I wondered how the Monza compares, seen a gold one on watchfinder that I’m interested in.

I sold a gold one for £2k back in 2006. It’s a heavy Watch, weighs more than a gold DD on a bracelet.

I’d be inclined to try to find a calibre36 which was a 150 piece limited edition.

That's a lovely background to a watch - somehow think that is the perfect way for watches to be passed on and appreciated. However much she loves the watch, there's always a more special connection too
