    Eulit Perlon supplier

I want a 22mm black one piece Perlon for my SKX007, but all I can find is 2 piece from watch gecko or unbranded from watchobsession. Does anyone know of a uk source?

    Cheers

    Dave

You wont find a genuine Eulit perlon one piece at 22mm I'm afraid though Watch Geko's own brand are fairly good quality if lacking a little firmness for my taste. I have a few at 20mm and they are OK.

I recall trying a couple of the unbranded ones from Watch Obsession and didn't like them at all - they felt scratchy and I didn't like the buckles.

Oops! Sorry Dave, Ive just remembered that Hobern's sometimes stock a 22mm Palma

Looks like they have some in at the moment:

Ive never tried one but I guess they will be just as good as the 20mm & 18mm ones.

I am not keen on the buckle design as shown as it doesn't allow the adjustment to length that the older kind do. It looks more substantial and modern though.

I like Hoburns - most of my Eulits are from there and their customer service is excellent. Single straps often get through customs OK but multiples often attract tax and a handling fee.

I received a 22mm EULIT PALMA PERLON Strap from WatchGecko back in January.
Do they no longer stock them ?

Yelly's list Eulit Palma (one-piece) in 22mm black. Palma is the modern thicker weave similar to vintage Panama. Ordering is a bit of a palaver but I think that it would be worth persevering.

I found them for £24 delivered on Amazon uk, but Yellys looks the best bet. Thanks!

A bit confusing, what does 'Draught Bridge Width' mean? Under product specifications is says 22mm.

    Thanks!

I was searching for Perlon - guess that's why it didn't work. Its a Palma according to the description.

I see that its a German retailer.

The buckle looks like an adjustable one so a better option than the one sold by Hoburn I think.

All of the listings say 18mm 20mm and 22mm with what I think is the actual width given at the end of title just after 'Bridge Width' as in my photo above.

There are multiple Amazon listing each with different widths - easy to order the wrong size unless you are paying attention I think!

Still, a hundred times easier than the inscrutable Yelly's site.

joebloggs recently had success ordering from Yelly's: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?397823-Yellys

I've just had a go at ordering a few and it wasn't as difficult as I recall. I've not paid yet but have received a confirmation e-mail. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have to agree Yelly's site is appalling (potentially gets the award for the worst site on the internet for selling of goods) but stick with it. Pay once you get the email and the straps do show up !! I have done it a few times.

I've started the order process with Yelly's, so will complete if I get the email. If that doesn't work out there is the Amazon backup plan.

Well Yellys was a curiously pleasant blend of retro ordering and modern payment. Order online, have a confirmation email, find his PayPal address from his website, pay in CHF. Fairly painless

I have a black Eulit on my vintage diver which I really like, though it does feel quite stiff, rathe like a gauze bandage, when removed from the wrist. I wanted to try a dark grey one so I ended dup buying from WatchObsession who are based in my old Uni town of Aberystwyth. The strap is much more 'floppy' and more 'material' like, but I agree the 'finishing' of the folded over end isn't as neat. A little fettling with a file and a light and it's perfect. The other end of the strap, the 'actual' end, as it were, is better finished than the Eulit.

I have yet to try a Watchgecko one but really like their straps so should think they are worth trying.

Yes, fairly painless! Works out at around £11 a strap (plus postage). Not too bad at all.

I recently had a good transaction with trendart-24 on eBay for a Eulit strap....maybe worth checking them out.

I've had notice of postage from Ulrich, although it's £19 with shipping. Still a good price though

    Ditto
Just received 2 (in 20mm) from them less than a week after ordering. Pretty good from Germany I thought.
Never tried Perlon before, but felt I should give it a go.

Yes indeed, it's even better value if you need a few as the shipping remains the same. Mine actually worked out at £13 each.

I'm having a Perlon revelation this week myself... the one I had knocking about in the watch box went on to the PRS-06: transformed it. I then tried it on my Benrus Mil-watch this week and the same magic happened again!!

Well the Eulit from Yellys.ch was recovered from the post office today, and very nice it is too. I think this is going to bump the Zulu off prime spot. Don't fear yellys rather retro ordering experience.

For those who may have missed it, I've posted thread comparing the modern Eulit Perlon 'Palma' from Yelly's and the vintage 'Panama' Perlon over in Leather, Rubber & Nylon.

Try Watchbandit - that's where I bought all my Eulit perlons. Very simple experience compared to others mentioned in this thread.

Here's the link to the 22mm one piece Palma

And the whole range here :
