Out of those two, the blue, but if you like the GMT, I personally think it looks best with the jubilee bracelet, not the oyster.

Agree entirely with Stix. Also, I would want a GMT Master II, the slaved 24hr hand of the GMT Master doesn't appeal to me

Both are watches I have wanted for some time, nice choices.

The Blue personally. The GMT looks a bit too washed out.

Thanks, I like the blue too. I had the jubilee on this old one and didn't warm to it at the time, hence usually wore it on a rhino, but I may have evolved since then...

I see well I feel on that particular model, the jubilee is the winner, along with the nipple dial on the Root Beer.

    Looks great I think:

Clint wore a 1675/3. Just saying Which is also my preference.

Strangely however I think the solid gold sub is nicer the solid gold GMT.

    All very strange.

16753 Nipple dial from 1979 to about 1983, then maxi dial to about 1988, when the model ref changed.

Root beer any day of the week. It's the only TT Sports Rolex I can put up with :)

The other. But if my arm were twisted it would be the GMT.

16613 for me, I would probably go for the later model (2001+?) with the gold running through the clasp.

Both have the classic Rolex look, and I've always like most TT models.

The GMT is a bit more unusual, so maybe a bit classier, but the Sub is still a lovely colour combination.

    Old age!!

In my old age of 42😉 I think I'm starting to like the two tone Sub?!?!?!

Rootbeer looks much better as others have said on the jubilee bracelet, plus the inserts look way better once they start to fade!!!

Root beer on jubilee class act

Well, I tried both and didn't really feel it for either of them.

The blue Submariner has a terrific dial, admittedly. The one I tried was a 1996 model, in excellent condition. In comparison to my 2008 Sea Dweller, which I was wearing at the time, it just didn't fare well though. Had it the SEL bracelet of the SD I might have been persuadable. But these oldies are starting to creak a little too much for me. I remember that now from my old 16753.

Hence to the GMT. Would it invoke some Proustian recollection? A madeleine master? Unfortunately it was not to be. The anamneses featured beige carpets and men with sideburns in tan suits explaining vacuum cleaner technology to surprisingly flexible young ladies somewhat under-attired for the season, relayed in a smoky room with projector noise competing against a soundtrack of banjos.

Only a man prepared to go full Wolseley could possibly make it work. I am not that man. Remembrance may be the best idea for some things past.

Having toyed with the idea of a TT for a few years now, I took the plunge last week.
I toyed with the 16613 LN but then saw a 116713 LN could be had in my price range, of course this then led to a comparison with the 116613 Sub LN :)
    I haven't looked back
