Can I respond to a WTB with less than 250 posts

Is it allowed to respond to a WTB post when I don't have 250 posts? Would responding constitute selling. Genuine question as I don't want to go against the rules.

Obviously better by PM if you are offering the poster something that they have asked for. Fair enough to do a normal post if you are just being helpful, seen the same watch on e-bay or in a dealers window etc and attach a link.

I recall that you get full access to WTB earlier than SC, but there is nothing in the yellow boxes on the log in page. I was referring to general responses to WTBs - probably not helpful, apologies.

Thanks for the replies, yes posting would be a no no. Accept the title could have been better phrased I should have said message the seller from a WTB post.

I don't have access to sales corner yet. Is it correct that I will have access to wtb before I can access sc. if so how do I do this?

You can of course respond with a PM.

Unless things have changed, you can also post in the WTB sub forum meaning you can post a WTB for yourself and post a response to others (after 2 months, 50 posts).

Simple answer - if you can physically post, then it is not against the rules, but you may expect buyers to be more cautious with new members

You'll probably get access to wtb and be able to view SC sometime soon after you've reached 50 posts.

another question here. After a long time i reached 250 posts. I now tried if i could post on SC but this seems impossible. Not that i have something to sell at the moment but u never know in the future? What goes wrong?

It's been less than an hour since you reached 250, and there is not an automated system that grants permission. You just have to wait for the task to be done manually by the one person who can do it. Patience is needed, but only a little.

Thx very much for the info AMF. I did some searching on the forum bur couldn't find that answer and i thought something went wrong with my account. As i said i have no intentions in selling something for the moment. In the past i bought some watches here and sended PM's to the sellers to get contact. Always worked fine.
