    PP 5711a waiting time up! - it's here :-)

Some of you may recall last November i put my name down for a 5711 after having been able to handle one whilst the collection was doing the rounds at the AD's.

Well after only what is 3/4 month wait i have just had the call, collecting tomorrow!!

Have to be honest wasnt expecting it that soon, now to raid the piggy bank 

Goes to show how many people might drop out of the process. Congratulations - I had mine on earlier today for a very rare outing :)
It's just a matter of time...

The white, I know a lot of people prefer the blue, personally i think both are fantastic but purely my preference from when i saw both together in Cork last year, and also helped by photos of Tonys as well.

White is best, by far. So much so, the 5712 I bought as an addition to my pale dial 5711 is already on the way out. Great choice.

I love the white as well. Blue looks great but everyone that buys one seems to go for blue.

Congrats - look forward to pics :)

Hopefully im next - however I still wonder if I should have put my name down for 5712 instead. It was a hard decision - all of these are superb

the White dial is very nice but the Blue is the one to get IMO.....and not just for resale/perceived value.

Ive gone for blue as I have a white daytona.

I was suprised how stunning the white 5711 was when I saw one in David Duggans. The pics dont do it justice at all - hopefully same goes for the blue as I never found one to see with my own eyes!! The pics of the blue make me drool so I should definitely be knocked out when on my wrist!

White for everyday use, blue if you have constant sunshine, otherwise a bit dull and grey. I speak from personal experience during the last month of owning both.

Yeah the blue just looks "old and dated" on my wrist anyway. I tried to bond with it for months but couldn't. The white on the other hand! Im waiting for mine to arrive.

Patek does the whole black oxidised thing so well.

Lovely watch, I'm glad your wait was shorter than expected - all the more of a nice surprise. Enjoy!

P.S. I really don't understand why people make such subjective nonsense like "the <insert colour> dial is the one to get". It is an opinion, very personal.

    Congratulations.
    Look forward to pics.
    White for me anyday.

So, off i went this morning to collect the new watch. Huge thanks to Gavin at Lunns in Belfast for the fantastic service. Still can't quite believe the lead in time, just lucky i guess.

Just a couple of Q&D's from earlier, awful quality.

I noticed on the way in they had a pre owned VC Overseas in the window so i couldn't let the moment go to get a pic of a Trilogy :-)

    Happy camper!!!

It is. It was a very unexpected Christmas + Birthday present from the missus. I missed out on one in late Novemeber and she knew i was gutted about not being able to take it at the time.

Looks great Nev, and if I may say, the PP is definately the pick of the trilogy for me.

TBH, I am surprised at the apparent size difference - PP vs RO.

Indeed. The AP RO does always wear bigger, be that 39mm or 41mm.

Congrats and brave move considering the resale of the blue, but looks like you love your white dials.

The other two look incredibly oversized. I love black markers and hands on a white dial. I'd have a hard time picking the blue over the white.
