TZ is redircting me to potential scam sites!

Strange thing happening this morning with TZ. Approximately every 6 clicks I make on the forum I'm redirected to external sites offering money schemes or dating sites. I click as normal and a new tab opens sending me to these sites.

It wasn't happening last night. Anyone else getting this? Anyone know how I can fix it.

It's not happening with any other website I use.

    Thanks.

Audible.com pop-up. When I clicked cancel it diverted me off somewhere.

    Yes, I am too.

FWIW, it happened immediately after I clicked the link in the iPad typing post,

And me - mainly to "Millionaire Trader".

I have just been checking out other websites to see if it was happening there. So far as I can see it is only on TZ.

im using an iPhone, it opens in a new window each time.

I've just randomly clicked around 20 different links on the site and it seems to have stopped. Very strange.

+1 and now asking me to download an app. Very dodgy indeed. I will be logging off for a while to give the boss a chance to sort it out.

Happening to me on my windows pc. I couldn't stop the pop ups then it said it was trying to install something so I just hit the big power button and booted up in safe mode.
Logged back in and got another redirect after 2 or 3 pages clicks on TZ.
I'll just browse on my phone for now !

Happening on iPad (redirects to mobileclickz) & my mac opens new windows to money making schemes.

Curiously, none of them were links to 'watches as investments'

Happening to me too - had this on a few fora I reside in and it's been the result of a hack. See you folks later, will be out till the boss can fix this.

It's happening on my android phone. Every time I use the TZ-UK app it opens the homepage but as soon as I try to click on a sub-forum I'm redirected to one of those dodgy sites.

  39. #39
Looks like TZ has been compromised - on Chrome when you try to login there seems to be an extension linked to the login dialogue box - I would advise caution.
On IE there are pop ups appearing which again indicate the site pages have had urls to dodgy and dangerous websites inserted

Sadly a lot of popular forum sites can attract this spam click problem, i think everyone will be experiencing it until it is removed from the site and it can come back.

Not sure of how it attaches it self or how to remove it to a site, obviously try not to clinic on any links and it might be a good idea to clear your cache on your computer or device after experiencing this.

I'm at work and I noticed that this morning - though I couldn't see where I was being redirected to as every redirect/pop-up was blocked by work- so all I saw was "This site is blocked blah blah blah" page.

Go to the settings (top right, next to browser bar - 3 vertical dots). Click and look for extensions on the left. Open this and see if anything is there that shouldn't be. Click on advanced further down the page and look for clearing the browser cache.Try downloading SuperAntiSpyware (Free) and run that. Quite good at removing ad stuff. However, I've done that and the site is returning the ads - so the site itself is now at fault :-(

    What vertical dots?

Generic instructions like this just don't work.

Happening to me on a windows laptop when I click to log in or hit reply etc. Everything from gaming sites to dating ones. I've anti virus and it comes up with nothing so as others have said it looks like the site has been compromised.
