Thread: My ultimate grail collected today

  1. #1

    My ultimate grail collected today

I don't usually do "unboxing" shots, but this is a very special watch for me. One I've lusted after for absolutely years.

As I expected, I couldn't sleep last night, so I was on the road by 5:30am. Driven 480 miles round trip to collect this and I couldn't be happier.

Not quite sure what else to say - I'm a bit blown away to be honest.

That is absolutely delightful, and we'll worth the effort you put in to get it. Can I be the first to go on the list when (if) you ever decide to sell it.

Fabulous, unfortunately I would never be able to liberate the watch from the packaging. I'd have a cup of tea, then come back, then I'd deicide to do 'anything' other than debox. Congratulations on your superb acquisition.

Visually complex, to keep you looking at it every few minutes, and horologically superb, to keep you admiring it.

One of the best modern Pateks.

I remember when I picked mine up, great day.

Now Andy, you see that little pen that works the pushers check the fine nib at the end for being a tad loose, mine rolled off the bed side cabinet and the nib fell out and I lost it, it's about 2mm long, the replacement cost £250 quid for a new Pen. I'm told it's white gold and ebony.

    Enjoy.

Doesn't really matter what it is, fulfilling a dream or achieving a goal you have worked hard to reach are among the finest moments life can offer. Congratulations!

Congrats to Andy and totally understand his joy but no... would not want to have it. The stylish finish and detailing is oo susceptible to dings in my dinging life style. The 'because you are worth it' does not apply in my case; I most definitely am not,

  35. #35
Stunning, my grail watch too!! Hopefully one day!

  36. #36
    Great work Andy

Next on my list for sure.

People compare the bracelets on these with the Royal Oaks all the time but the Pateks is on a different level of comfort in my view.

That combined with the blue dial is killer

I'm always amazed how thin these are, which I guess makes them much more comfortable. Perfect size really.

Just echoing everyone else's comments - that really is stunning. Congratulations.

I've never had the pleasure of owning a Patek Philippe, (I've owned numerous other top end brands such as AP's and VC's) but seeing your pictures has convinced me I need to try one very soon. Congratulations, absolutely stunning watch, probably the model I would choose, would have to sell most of my collection to afford one though.......
