TBH, I hadn't noticed it until I took the picture and posted it yesterday, but it is quite noticeable isn't it

Just got my 1985 Speedy back from Swiss Time Services..... the first service since I bought it new over 32 years ago! They did an amazing job IMO. Forgotten that the 1479 bracelet was so comfortable.

Oh yes but I meant the model name - is it just an Omega De Ville. Found it now anyway.

It was pretty good before, to be fair! Just needed a new hesalite crystal as it was scratched. Case and bezel had no dings, strap was good. Only had a clean and very light polish.

Just had my Speedie come back from Omega. Can't be seen in this shot but somehow they've been able to retrieve definition along the case sides.

    Beautiful watch Tom.
Just out of curiousity, has it has regular use over the past 32 years? It looks in fantastic overall condition.

Thanks. Not really used regularly. I bought it new when I was living in Asia and rotated it with a SS Rolex Sub and a YG Rolex DJ for about 15 years. Then I forgot all about it and it didn't see daylight for about 15 years. Going through some old stuff recently I re-found it. I knew I had it somewhere but had pretty much forgotten all about it to be honest. I've got other more recent Speedies too, so was nice to get my first Speedy back in action. It wouldn't wind up and so I sent it off to STS and they gave it a long overdue service.

I don't wear this as often as I should.
The gold batons and rehaut (?) really make the dial glow, but I'm afraid that doesn't come out in this rubbish phone pic.

I've just joined TZ - this could be my first thread and what a beauty too. The Seamaster pro is a superb all round watch. Does everything and more you could ask from a watch.

Despite my ongoing whinge about my AT, my favourite watch is currently (and possibly always will be) an Omega.

For me its the original and best version, and I doubt I'll ever part with it (Pitch3110 gets first dibs if I do - I haven't forgotten!):

Thanks to Darren at Vintage speedmaster for this personal grail GEM. Now, where's the toilet paper, duct tape, plastic tubing and lithium hydroxide canisters!

    Hi!

My husband has a broken Omega Geneve 135.070 ( the number on the watch mechanism is 30173766) and I would like to get it fixed for he's birthday.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about repairing watches nor where I could get the parts.

Did contact a local watchmaker who agreed to repair it if I get the parts myself.

The crown, stem and back seal need replacing.

There are several parts on ebay but I do not know which suits this particular watch, please I need some advice :)

http://www.watchprosite.com/omega/om...49596.2699171/ The same watch as in the link

did you tried Šveitsi Kell, I recon they are Omega dealers and have service center in Tallinn.

If you are willing to come to Riga I can give you recommendations of good watchmakers. I don't think crown or stem would be a problem to source.

Got round to fitting the bracelet on this MK2, it certainly adds to the weight but the design of the watch helps to balance it out.
