I think I will need to sell my Omega Dark Side of the Moon and was wondering where the best place to do this is in the UK? I can't place the ad here yet as I haven't posted enough (useless) messages!

Building costs on my house have spiraled somewhat! I'm not looking to trade it.

Watchfinder will be the quickest and safest, but not the best in terms of getting the best price, but saying that there was a DSOTM on sales corner and I don't think it sold.

Try places like watchfinder and get a few quotes and see if what they are offering meets your expectations.

A few people will sales corner but you would would need to meet the minimum post requirement. Or you could look through the Want to buy section and see if someone has posted there.

Good shout thanks. Are there any decent 2nd hand sales sites (similar to watch finder) where you can advertise and hopefully not attract the idiots you get in ebay? Sorry off post a little.

It all depends on what you are willing to let it go for, there are several places such as Blowers who might take it off you, but be prepared for a shock in terms of what you will be offered.

Rusty - it is Speedmaster Pro Ref: 311.30.42.30.01.004 [aka 'Tintin']

Darren had some but I think he's sold out now: maybe worth checking his website www.vintagespeedmaster.com/pre-loved-watches

Thanks so much, I love flightmasters. I'll see if I can rustle up another photograph or two when I get a chance.

And what a first Omega! Lovely.

What's with the 1 and 7 markers? Is it just reflection making them look different to the rest?

Thanks! Yup just my horrible office lighting making them appear different to the others.

Love my seamaster PO. My first “proper” watch and I’m now looking at purchasing a Speedy.

Rare requirement for a whistle today so thought I’d give the 145.017 some air.

Looks perfect with a suit, what year is that?

  36. #336
Well the Speedy Pro has gone so it's time to replace it with another Omega - The Aqua Terra above looks beautiful so that's on the list along with a PO 8500. Let me know if you spot any kicking about.

ill throw my only omega in here , I like the fact it got a name , "yemen" I believe and I have a liking for white dials as you will see as I go through my watches, it was my 2nd quality watch purchase , pre owned and went back to omega a couple of year ago for a full overhaul.

I realise there's not much love for them, but I absolutely adore my Aqua Terra. A bit different, and goes well on both steel and leather strap.

I actually think they are a great watch. Perfect mix of sports/dress for everyday wear. Much like the DJ. I prefer the white dials myself. So I can appreciate your adoration.

Me too. I'm on the hunt for a "Bond" one now to replace my Speedy as an everyday watch.
