For me SDR is mileees more attractive and will never even look on regular one.
Mine is also full tegimented.., case + bracelet..., as i have said before..., pure tool watch!

Please let us know what is bezel price for future ref.

    Thanks

You had me slightly worried to look too closely at the watch in your pic for a minute there! Cheers for the info; I've always always removed the second bit on natos anyway so that's not an issue. Otherwise the strap holds it well without flopping about on your wrist too much?

    Sorry for Off topic.
Sorry, I wasn't meaning to cause offence! I misread the quote you were commenting on and thought that Mj2k had enquired for a quote on a normal non-SDR bezel, which would have meant you were saying you were interested in how much they'd cost even though you'd just said you weren't interested in having one with it ever. My mistake (and the result of gastroenteritis and a slight fever!). I'll amend my earlier comments.

You're not joking on liking the SDR bezels! With the coloured rubbers the bezels really 'pop' too. For all the years I've had a U1 as a grail, I've flipped back and forth between the normal or SDR bezel, but the two things that put me off the SDR one was 1) the contrast of red minutes markers on the black was a bit too much for me to think I'd be able to wear it as anything other than a casual watch and 2) worry over the black rubbing away like PVD and other coatings all do eventually over time.

Now I've got a normal one in the flesh, I've realised that it's probably not the most suitable for wear with a suit either (especially on rubber) but what the hell, who cares! And fortunately I don't have to wear a suit every day either!

You have a good weekend too!

As long as you can get the strap relatively snug on your wrist it’s fine. I tended to wear mine on fabric natos most of the time.

My SDR bezel picked up a few scratches which showed the metal underneath and it also rubbed away in a few places too. To be fair though, it was very had to scratch in normal use.

I keep on trying but can never quite get on with fabric natos (too scratchy). I thought a rubber one might be a bit softer and stretchy to allow it to be pulled tighter. I'm not convinced enough to drop £30 on one at the moment anyway to test the water I don't think!

Thanks for the info. As I thought, but then again, it's hardly like the SS version won't pick up scuffs with wear in all likelihood!

That is a great shame :-(

He was a genuine Pilot with a real history.

"Mr Sinn was born in 1916 in Metz, Lorraine, an area now in Northern France that then belonged to Germany. He trained as a pilot and flew for the Luftwaffe during the Second World War, where he was shot down over Russian territory, losing both his little fingers in the process. He spent the rest of the war as a flying instructor, but had to give up the vocation post-war due to a ban imposed by the Allied authorities".

(Now if only Bremont could say that about their "history"....)

I went through the process of sourcing an SDR bezel for the U1, or at least trying to find out the cost of doing this.

Couldn't see if it had been answered above, but the response from Sinn was:

Thank you for your message. The bezel is 280€ and the shipment is 25€.

Sinn 856 which must be vying for most legible dial out there. Keep thinking I don't need it as I've an Explorer but everytime I go to box it up its simplicity appeals and I can't 🙂

First Sinn for me and I'm really pleased with this EZM2, superb build quality and finishing, I can see why the prices are rising!

Does any other brand have such a wide variety of designs? Let alone, a small manufacturer like Sinn.

I’m not sure if there is but for me personally I think Sinn nail it at their price point I lov loads of their pieces!
I also love loads of their past pieces and often struggle not purchasing used Sinn as sometimes the prices are just stupid low for what you get ???
Plenty of history with them aswell and clearly an attention to what the customer wants which doesn’t happen with even the top brands!!

I also love the fact that in all the years I’ve worn Sinn I’ve never seen another person wearing one?!?

Picked this up recently and whilst it's keeping good time on the wrist, it's more erratic on the timegrapher so unless it settles down a service will be in order. Still undecided about what to do in terms of whether to tidy up the case and hands or leave it as is which is proudly battered and bruised, slightly favouring the latter at present.

Well yesterday my 103 went in the post to a new owner, a lovely watch but slightly overshadowed by the 903 which I adore. I'd love to try a U1 at some point, too.
