I try and wear as many of my watches as possible, but when I put the Arktis back on, it tends to stay on for a lot longer than I planned!

Probably the last watch (I've bought myself) that I would sell.

I made bad, maybe even Sinn :(

Sourced a bracelet for a very rare watch Sinn 155 and put it on my Sinn 158. Here it is

It fits perfectly and completes the watch for me.

What will the second be? I started with the 556a, then 857 UTC LH Cargo, then 144... May go for a diver next although with most of their watches having 200m WR it's hard to justify, other than for the aesthetic.

Does Sinn offer a mesh, or was that something you put together from a mesh and sinn buckle? Looks great.

I love the look of the multi-link bracelet 4th from right - what are these like to wear, comfortwise?

No it's a Sinn clasp with a mesh I found on eBay for cheap but works well

Thinking of getting rid of my old Arktis and replacing with a 857 utc. Can anyone tell me, is the utc a true gmt ( set the gmt hand to home and set the main hands to local )

The gmt hand is independent but it is of the ‘office’ type. You would have to set the watch to local time and then move the GMT back to home time. Or use the gmt hand as local time.

Something interesting to post: Sinn 8820t

It is 6 minutes slow, so I guess I will soon find out what its like to send a watch to Sinn. The bezel is a little worn out, but I found a replacement for 60 euros. The bracelet is too short and the spring mechanism in the clasp is broken.

    Sinn 144 GMT Cargo

This 'find' seems to be magnetised. I think I'll give it a good service once my 156 and 8820T are done. I won't be sending this one to Sinn though.

Any thoughts on the Sinn 856?

Hi. Grateful for any thoughts you might have on the Sinn 856. It looks like an ideal tool watch - the dimensions are perfect for me, but it's difficult to get a look at one 'in the flesh'.

    Web link: https://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/856.htm

    Thanks!

This ones back in the fold since I withdrew it from sale,I have been wearing it a few days now.

I love the acrylic crystal and the way it distorts when you view from an extremely low angle.

It also hacks, looks good on a classic black leather strap and just has a nice feel to it.

It’s quite different from my Zenith Tipo both are classics in style and purpose.

Sorry about the bezel I was timing hard boiled eggs.

Glad you decided to keep it - all else considered it was worth more than the asking, so I guess fate intervened.

Still feeling oddly guilty about acquiring this, given it was a reluctant sale, but it'd be odder still not to post it here, because I'm besotted with it...

My Sinn 140 which arrived back with me on Friday. I've included a before and after shot, just to show what a great job Simon Freese did with the case. It had to go away again to have a couple of minor niggles sorted so pleased to finally have it back and very happy with how it's worked out.
