I managed to source one 158 from a local Sinn dealer. They had a single watch incoming so let's see. I cancelled my order of Dark Star because of the faux lume. Let's see if this is any better. Going to wear mine on khaki canvas and butterfly clasp.

Turned up this weekend, which was nice! I was fully prepared to wait the two weeks and even read somewhere that the new 104 wasn't being released until March however here it is.

Some very Q & D shots, it's back in it's box for now. I'm very impressed with the way that Sinn has presented the watch as well, the whole package has a real quality look and feel about it.

Am I happy with the watch itself? Oh yes, and then some.

Looks really smart. I need to collect mine at some point this week and these photos are making me impatient!

That 104 looks great! The canvas strap goes really well with it.

Absolutely stunning and I have had a lot of 104s.

The launch pics looked like they had done something different with the movement display. Do you have a photo?

I tried to order one this week and told out of stock for 6 weeks

I haven't taken my own 'photo of the case back and it's my first 104 so I don't have anything to compare it to, looking at Sinn's own website though there doesn't appear to be any difference other than having 'EINE von 1000' engraved onto the ABE's rotor.

That is lovely, I’ve ordered the 158 but I had to work hard to convince myself I shouldn’t get this instead, at half the price it’s a whole lot of watch for the money.

Hoping my 158 comes this week.

Did you get a shipping tracking reference? I was told my 158 is expected this week but have had no shipping notifications from Sinn

Nope, hence my surprise at it turning up when it did as I wasn't expecting it. I received confirmation of the order and an ETA but no tracking number.

    Good work.

Unfortunately mine went straight back in to its box after taking those 'photos and probably won't be worn until Wednesday, I'm hoping for a bright and sunny day for that dial!

A bright and sunny day would be ideal, I'll keep my fingers crossed but currently not holding out much hope! 🤞

Has anyone who ordered the 158 received theirs yet and if so what day did you order? I'm getting radio silence from Sinn despite ordering on the 16th.

Looks fantastic on the sand canvass, nice to see a manufacturer giving WIS the sort of style they appreciate.

Much as I like Sinn, I would be looking at the Guinand Starfighter in preference to the 158.

I keep looking at the Guinands - the starfighter looks excellent, as does the 361. That said, not sure I could live with the (lack of) resale value!

Back in keeping with the thread:

No sign of mine yet and I ordered the same day as you, although I added a strap to the order the next day. The only info I’ve had about delivery is where it says Feb delivery on the invoice.

  23. #573
I've just read a comment on Sinn's FB page saying that 940 of the 1000 ABEs are already accounted for! That's from someone who had visited Sinn's store in Germany earlier this morning.

Thanks, these are quite rare indeed.

I have the (unused) leather strap too, but prefer the tegi bracelet

Completely agree. They really nailed it. If I didn’t have the 155 I would be all over it

Cancelled my 158 purchase. Unhappy that they pushed delivery back 2 weeks and who knows if we will even have a functioning postal system by then (said mostly in jest)

Bezel is a minute count down timer as opposed to elapsed time timer

Bezel turns the opposite (to the usual) way?

I believe the more comprehensive explanation is that it’s a count down bezel. If want to count down 20 minutes, spin the bezel so the 20 min marker is aligned to the minute hand. When the minute hand gets to the triangular bezel marker the 20 minutes is up.

The minute or the hour hand is used as a reference: rotate the bezel so that the time remaining is set to the dedicated hand. When the hand reaches zero on the scale, the event should occur.
