If I'm not too late and there is still room, I would love to come along to this GTG. Cheers.

I have been given the OK to borrow the timing machine and the demagnetiser for the afternoon
Downside is I need to take them back at around 4:30 so if anybody wants to use them you will need to pop along before then.

    Looking forward to this.

I'll be taking 2-3 watches but also be up for a few beers too!

I'll probably head to the venue about 2 - 230 ish with a few other forum members.

Gutted that I can't make it. Pesky christening to attend. My wife has suggested it is not an option to miss it.

Waste of time so would rather be drinking in Edinburgh !

What is the etiquette around name badges, supplied, or do I provide my own?

You will need to bring your own, failure to bring one will result in a £10 fine payable directly to the drinks kitty

It's actually from the 1927 novel, The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre by B. Traven & was altered for the movie for censorship reasons.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stinking_badges

Incidentally B. Traven's story is fascinating & it's well-worth Googling him & looking on Youtube for the Will Wyatt/Robert Robinson documentary about him.

Wow, time goes quickly! Apologies ladies & gents, but I'm unable to make it tomorrow unfortunately. I'm sure you'll all be horrified to hear that, but I have other commitments.

    Have fun!

    Have a great day everyone.

Gutted to be missing this but apparently on rechecking yesterday a christening is apparently more important than watches and beer.

If anyone took any group photos (of the people, not the watches), post a few and let the rest of us know who is who - be nice to put some faces to the regular names.

There weren't any people photos. Just watches which were far better looking.
Ill post tomorrow. Great to handle some absolute belters :)

Was a good night. So many nice watches and especially vintage Rolex. Don't thick I've seen that many vintage GMT Masters, 1680's and 5513's in one room!
