    Nautilus LE

    Don't shoot the messenger

My second thought was: are those indices made of marzipan?

Interesting, quite conservative and does not actually look bad.

    Just awesome!

Now please explain to me how anyone is going to get anywhere near the current used prices trying to sell that on.
It's just a matter of time...

I suppose it depends on whether that was the blue dial or the white dial originally?

    I like it too!

Is it being worn upside down?

  9. #9
    Very cool imo.
I wonder if the black hands and indices glow in the dark?

Edit, I like the idea but looking at it in close up (ok with my glasses on!), it is a real mess.
I cannot believe they could actually sell it like that, who would buy it?

I think it looks very cool, i wonder if kept the blue dial but dlc everything if that would look strange.

For people for whom time dosn't matter but brand names are everything. Black hands against a black dial are not the most easy to read. But the Patek name is with its white colour.

It's interesting but more akin to a Hublot than a PP I'd say. Nothing wrong with it per sé just not sure it really fits the brand footprint.

The idea might just have worked, but the execution is appalling. The indices and hands must have been by someone who was short sighted, wearing very thick gloves and using a metre long brush.

  18. #18
I don't particularly like the actual coating, that's before the dial, hands and indices.

For me it's a clear case of must try harder, but I've seen what happens when Bamford try harder.
It's just a matter of time...

Looks like it was £2 for some blackboard paint and £1.50 for some Humbrol for the dial. Wrong in so many ways.

IMO They have taken an already unattractive watch and made even more unattractive.
Regarding quality it's not the first time I have seen pictures of poor finishing on a Bamford product, why would anyone buy a product with such glaring QC issues?
I suppose it just proves some people have more money than sense.
Still if we all like the same things we would have nothing to talk about.

    Wow.
Nope, nope, nope. The whole point of a Patek is the finishing. You can't polish a turd but they seem to proved you can do it the other way round!

I think as my old nan would have said, "You'd have to be a Barm cake to buy that Bamford!"

hahaha, that about sums up my thoughts. Hideous. At least Bamford, true to form, have continued to show their remarkable capability to ruin any watch they get their hands on.

I can't see anything beyond that blob on the 7 marker.
    Bampots.

  29. #29
To be fair if it was better executed with white markers and on a strap, there could be possibilities.
For me Nautilus as it is seems a little bland. This might add a little pop if done well.

When you buy a Nautilus, what are you paying for?

    1 a loving-made case
    2 a loving-made dial
    3 a loving-made movement
4 an iconic and exclusive design

Unless you've enough money not to notice prices, you're going to have to have a high estimation of the design's relative value to be content with having the case and dial being dipped in Marmite.

I could forgive Bamford for many of their designs if their workmanship was incredible. But it's is ALWAYS amateurish at best when viewed close up. I guess those that buy, and there must be plenty of them, aren't the 'look close-up' types.

Is that not a customised rep? The dial is a right mess crooked as you like, I might be wrong! I hope I'm not because that's simply criminal to do that to a nautilus

If you want to ask Bamford Watches if they're now using fakes, here's the link to Instagram photo of theirs in the OP: https://www.instagram.com/p/BPDORUJlsQt/

My bad, just looking at the sticks they look like they have been put back on crooked, this is a proper hack job at customisation, have they done the customising or is it not detailed? I had a watch DLC coated once, the bracelets don't hold up well and that was done really well, it looks like stevie wonder has had a pop at this.

It wouldn't be entertained, like most of the big brands once customised they won't touch it with a 10ft barge pole.

It may be a cake, but the hour markers look better than the Bamford ;)
