LOL!!
Well I sold mine this morning.
It was never going to be worn much as I prefered the standard moon watch when they were both side by side.
The added bonus of a little bit of profit made a nice change as I tend to loose on any flipping.
They are not selling for the stupidly inflated prices they were earlier in the summer. In fact there were two of them being hawked in the dealer the same time, the old adage of supply and demand is close to being reversed in the ST case. Too much supply not enough demand.
I am selling mine on SC so I am not neutral . However, judging from my experience, I guess most, sellers will have made a minimum of £1000 profit, maybe more. In my case I was offered a strong price from a dealer, but prefer SC. if it doesn't go, off to the dealer.
The real point is that plans change over such a long period...nine months and counting. It is inevitable that some people will take a profit and move-on. There is still a long 'reserve' list, so who knows what prices will do. It will be fun to watch. Bit like betting at the casino.
I bought a ceramic Daytona at above list, I suppose that was a gamble, prices can always fall back. But I love wearing it, that's where the real value lies. Do I regret paying over the odds ? Not at all.

I hand the same price offered to me as you seem to have been offered in your FS post. (likely from the same dealer).
I did converse with another member here about a trade but the difference in price between the watches was too great which is a shame as I would have happily traded if we could have made it work.
I then thought about SC and the other threads with accusations of profiteering etc and I could not be ar*ed with the hassle so took the dealer offer instead.
This may well be the case inside the TZ bubble.
But, due to Omega making a bit of a cock-up on their timing of opening the list for the ST, the secondary market is not UK watch forums, the UK nor, probably, even Europe.
As has previously been mentioned, I think that market will now be driven primarily by the U.S, and anywhere else the watch-loving population were fast asleep at the time the list opened, and got quickly filled.
As a result, I can't see prices of the ST being anything other than strong, moving forward.
All just my opinion of course.
Sent an extremely strong e-mail last night recording my dissatisfaction with them. Re-read it this morning and thought oh dear, especially as it was in response to one from the CEO.
Never mind, probably been struck off the list now.
I wouldn't go that far, they'd be selling at retail or below if that was the case. They still seem to be selling at more than £1,000 over retail, there was always going to be a rush of flippers when the deliveries ramped up and that's what we've seen. I guess a quick grand in the pocket for nothing more than picking up and posting is too much to resist for most folk(understandably I suppose, not every day you can make that much money that easily).

To clarify I am not trying to talk the price of the watch down. Sorry if it seemed that way.
I can only report my experience and that is of two people trying to sell the same limited edition watch at the same dealer at the same time.
The market for these is the US and I am sure any dealer with one or several in their stock with access to the US market will make their money back and then some.
People that like and keep the watch will have a very distinctive version of a iconic watch and I hope in the long run it turns out to be another Silver Snoopy.
Omega really do not care about the secondary market. They were successful in flogging the Speedmaster horse for a healthy premium that was, no doubt, in line with their sales target and the fact it sold out within hours online was enough to drive up general perception of Omega desirability. All their limited editions have waiting lists. If you look at other well known brands outside of the watch market, the perpetual release of 'limited editions' to keep ongoing retail demand strong has gotten out of hand imho. Shows how devalued things have become really... tomorrow's limited edition becomes yesterday's chip wrapper. So I think the likes of Rolex - by NOT releasing a continuous stream of limited editions - is doing far more for their customers by simply constraining supply of vanilla [sports professional] models as opposed to releasing multiple not so limited, limited editions.
Just received this reply to my e-mail:

Dear Speedy Fan,
We thank you for your email dated October 13th 2017.
We sincerely regret to learn of your disappointment with regard to the delivery of your Speedy, which we fully understand.
The faith our client's place in our products and service is fundamental to the success of our brand, and we can see that in this case, we have not met your expectations.

During the assembly, every OMEGA watch is repeatedly and thoroughly checked on its aesthetical and technical aspects so as to ensure that watches in perfect condition only leave our works. As this process is important to OMEGA, it cannot be excluded that delivery times are longer than expected.
Your Speedy Tuesday was sent on October 6th and our local teams will be getting in touch with you very soon.
Thank you.

So they sent it on the 6th Oct. I thought they were supposed to tell us when it went anywhere. That was 11 days ago, so apart from the above in response to my rant at them, it looks like my watch is somewhere
You are right Dave. I think selling for cash is a dead rubber now. I am thinking my Porcelain Daytona and the ST for a new Ceramic Daytona at WF - if they will still take a ST in trade at that point. The numbers stack up and they always have the Ceramic in stock.
I remember a post on the Omega Forum, can I use my ST to get a Daytona and it is possible.
Just got to get the thing first.
I was told it was being dispatched from London to my nominated boutique on the 5th October and would be there early the following (ie, last) week. I chased up Omega using the alternative e-mail provided in an out-of-office response from Marc, the Key Account Manager. I was assured on Friday 13th that my watch was guaranteed to be at the boutique on Monday 16th, yesterday, but it wasn't. I inferred from this that it was still sitting there and they booked a courier. Omega now tell me it arrived in London on the 5th, then goes off to the Boutique Head Office (can't remember who runs them, but they haven't yet received the watch there) then gets sent out to the boutique. I just don't understand how hard it seems to be to send a watch between offices in the UK (almost 2 weeks now) - us lot do it all the time!

Anyone else still waiting on theirs? I got an email yesterday saying it'd be here in Jan. I remain sceptical!
Mine is at the Brum Boutique, they wanted me to collect it before Christmas but I couldn't be bothered to go into the middle of a big city during the Christmas shopping rush so will be collecting in the next couple of weeks, although my excitement for the watch has all but gone.
I know there are many ST threads on the forum, but I thought I would post to the "original."
It's 14 months since the ST was announced. I had my name down for one (#1321) but as the releases took longer and longer to materialise, my interest flagged. When I did eventually get the call, I'd made a big change in my work life. This meant that I wasn't willing to spend £4.1K on a watch, which I knew I didn't really want. I told Omega no thanks and said I'd stick with my existing Speedmaster.
The point of the story is that my then colleague put his name on the reserve list the day after I did, once they had all been allocated. He received this, this afternoon:
From: UK Retail Omega Bond Street <Omega.BondStreet@uk.swatchgroup.com>Sent: 09 March 2018 14:08Subject: Speedy TuesdayDear MrThank you for registering your interest on the Speedy Tuesday watch and had waited for this long.I’m glad to inform you that there is one become available for you now. Please find the attached details for the Speedy Tuesday watch.Ref 31132423001001Price £4100Please let me know when would you like to visit us to collect this fantastic piece. If you no longer need it, please also let me know, so that I can give this opportunity to the next person on the waiting list.Kind regardsSunny
I find it strange that for such a hyped and eagerly sought after watch, there are still some floating around Omega's stock rooms.
PS: Before anyone asks, he's already said "Thanks but no thanks" to Omega, so I can't hook anyone up with him. But if you're on the list and want one, you may be lucky yet.
