Not sure about the jubilee over the oyster but I do like the blue rubber.
It does take away from the simplicity slightly...

yeah im not sure it works for the blnr
I like the Jubilee in the BLNR. It looks very different than the PCL oyster. And after all, GMT Masters used to be sold on Jubilee bracelets.
I don't like the blue rubber though, a Rolex always looks better on a bracelet.

The Super Jubilee fits the GMT case very well and is a much more forgiving bracelet than the Oyster when it comes to scratches.
BUT if you buy one make sure that you also get the thinner Datejust type spring bars. The GMT spring bars are thicker and will not go through the Super Jubilee.
Humm, I think I need another GMT. I really miss my BLNR.
Ever since the release of the 126710BLRO, I'm thinking I ought to get a super jubilee on my BLNR...found this thread and thought I'd bump it to see if more people have warmed to that idea?
Think a few have done it on TRF.
Looks wrong though IMO.
I think it looks good. I have a Datejust on one and really like them.
Prefer the Jubilee over the Oyster, but it does seem to make it look a little less toolish, for want of a better word, but then I don’t use my watches as tools so go for it.
The bracelet just looks odd. It’s a sports watch and the bracelet is at odds with the design. A dress bracelet on a sports watch, odd.

Yes 'simplicity' was the wrong word!
What I meant to say was that I don't think it works for a sports model as such. The jubilee to me is more of a dressier bracelet so better suited to the likes of the date just.
If I was going for a jubilee bracelet, I would also try and get one with a presidential clasp rather than the oyster clasp as this makes it much more streamlined.
Also looks wrong to me, that's why the new pepsi is appealing as it will give variety being on a jubilee.

I shouldnt like this but i actually like it , since the pepsi gmt came out at basel last week i've started liking the jubilee barcelet again , it does suit dress watches but i think it also works on sports models too
Looks fine to me, just different.
The new one is the same, too:
Jubilee is dated, I think that whoever is making these decisions on releases, another Pepsi dial but is now SS and releasing it on a jubilee! Think there needs to be some change at the top!

The entire concept of a mechanical watch is dated, which is pretty much of the whole point of their existence.
Wearing a mechanical watch won’t be dated in our lifetime. Luxury items will always command a premium, I wonder out of curiosity what the most expensive smart watch in the world is?

Yes, obviously.
Put another way, it's a mature technology. So I personally don't mind if it has an established old-school visual design; passing trends are about the last thing I want in a watch that will last many decades longer than I will.

I agree with the ‘odd’ comment. The Jubilee to my eyes really doesn’t suit either the BLNR or the new Pepsi for that matter.
Mind you, I don’t even like the look of Jubilees on the SKX range, so I’ve clearly got it in for them...

Managed to source myself the jubilee bracelet that would fit the BLNR now, but I didn't realise I'd need new spring bars??
The ones on the oyster bracelet are a shave thicker and don't fit through the jubilee bracelet end links...
anyone know what spec spring bars I would need please?
20x1.8 mm flanged. Get the Rolex ones; they’re far better than the generic stuff.
Old thread but same answer from me, I think there's a little too much going on with the Jubilee bracelet. Benefits from the clean lines of the original IMVHO.
Just looks wrong. Don't do it. It looks like you had to go cheap on the strap to afford the head!
No offence meant.
I rather like it, however I have 3 GMT's, but only one is on a Jubilee (and then only sometimes). .
As for the Daytona - nasty. Good idea, but just looks wrong.
As for the fruit favoured Rubber B. Sorry, they just look cheap and nasty.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

I was at a Rolex AD event tonight to see the new Basel launched offerings. I have to admit, the new GMT on a jubilee was lovely.

Did they give a hint when they are expecting them?
I like the look of it but I am a bit of a jubilee fan.
The blue still looks a little purpley for me in all pics I've seen... maybe in the metal it's different
I saw this in the metal too (albeit without a movement) and I didn’t really like it at all. I don’t think the watch flows well with the jubilee and the Tudor GMT was IMHO a much nicer looking watch.
New Deepsea Cameron is nice though - the bracelet doesn’t feel undersized compared to the watch head.

This one didn’t have the movement either, but weight wise was identical to the finished watch. It’s funny isn’t it, I preferred the look of the Tudor in photos, but last night thought that the Rolex was nicer than the Tudor in the flesh. The Deepsea was nice, but I have girlie wrists and it felt a bit too big for me.

The way I see it, both types of bracelets, i.e. the oyster and the jubilee, have a hard time hiding the unfortunate proportions of the lugs, but having said that, I think the jubilee looks great on Rolex's Professional line of watches, and I wish I saw them more often fitted to Submariners, too.
Here's mine on jubilee, just fitted - looks pretty neat to me and will enjoy it like this for a few weeks...love having some versatility with my watches
I think that biggest problem won't be the smartish looks, but the lack of easy-link
