Very cool, there is something about a tuna, on paper they should be too big but on the wrist they are just right.
This arrived on Friday, really happy, I took a risk on some poor images but my gut feeling was that it was a good honest watch.
Quote from the advert, poorly translated
"My real father purchased a new article and owned it. Actually used in marine sports. Even now it operates with active duty. As things are unusual, we are waiting for the bidding of many of you who cherish"
Well used but all original, I love cleaning good honest gunk off a watch to reveal what is underneath.
Plently of loose sand escaped
Unlikely to be mud, hair and skin.
A thick layer of salt.
The best surprise was how well it is running, it started life in June 1975 and is still going so strong.
Just a new Crystal to finish it off (hunting one now)
Love a watch with a past of real use

Very nice. A vintage watch that's been used for its intended purpose.
"A man of little significance"
Very nice indeed, original strap it looks like too.
I'm not surprised its not been of your wrist since Friday , its a gorgeous watch , very nice indeed .
Excellent purchase, loving that.
That timegrapher trace is pretty good. Watch looks superb, too.
But are you sure that hasn't been serviced recently? If not, wow those 6 series movements were good.
Very very nice... Congratulations! Nice non-m dial btw...
Kudos on purchase and restoration!

Thanks, this is my first purchase for a while, I was once a Seiko addict, in recovery now 🤓
Yes you are spot on Jason, the strap is original which is great (and a good indicator of how much use it has had) the first ones had just the 600 text as Mariod knows (Hi btw) so it is 41 years old.
I would think it has been serviced at some point Bodo, the amplitude and daily rate is exceptional, but if it was it was still done a good few years ago to get all that build up of salt and crud.
It has however rekindled my desire for a 6159-7001, but wish I had bought one ten years ago, JimW's was a find and a half.
Checked it against the master clock at work today it has not lost a second.
Wonderful
Great 'catch'
