My only Longines. A "Spirit" from a few years ago.
My only current one is this, a Hydroconquest in blue.
It's always been a favourite of mine and that's not changed.
It even does some real diving now and then!
I had this lovely hummer for a while, but was persuaded to part with it...
I often wish I hadn't... It's the only watch I've got rid of that I've actually missed.
It was perfect with a suit and shirt.
I can see my having a LLD sometime and I'm often looking at their multi complication watches.
Longines is a brand I like. It's quite low profile, but quite classy, I think, partly due to their choices of sports to sponsor (eg equestranism and ski racing) as opposed to the rather 'try hard' Formula One sponsorship of Rolex and others (Personally I think only Casio really suits F1!)

Looks very, very nice indeed...Just what I like!
My very favorite watch is a lovely old vintage Longines with many great features.
It's an oversized (37 mm) steel three-part case with a nice chunky unsigned crown that is easy to grasp and doesn't hurt my fingers when winding. Nomos could do well emulating this crown.
The dial is a joy. The applied hour makers have a rich warm copper-colored tone. At three, six, nine are chamfered arrow-heads that catch the light and glint wonderfully with an unusual double arrow head at twelve. The contrast between the bright yellow gold hands and the red gold markers when daylight catches them is fabulous.
The domed plexiglass crystal has a very unusual property of disappearing completely when the watch is angled towards a strong incidental light source; it really does look like a dial with no crystal at all.
This old watch was restored by Swiss Time Services and keeps time to within COSC specifications. Remarkable as it dates from 1948!

Speedish, the Heritage Chrono is 39mm across the bezel. I might be wrong, but I think it's been reissued in a slightly larger case.

Longines UltraQuartz(1970/71)
Longines Ultronic((1972) in the grey/green bezel version
Going much further backfrom the top; 1912(and my earliest wristwatch), 1916 "Trench" and 1930's Serbian Railway pocket watch
Longines were my dad's favourite, so I've always had a soft spot for the marque.
Helped along by the handy fact they were and to some degree still are "undervalued" in the market. They've caught up in recent years, by quite a bit. By way of illustration all of the above watches bought singly down the years collectively stand me about a thousand euro. How times have changed.
Some nice models on show in this post for sure. I like the Admiral and the hydro-conquests, blue and red especially. So much so that I,m seriously thinking of getting the automatic, just unsure if the service costs will be very costly. If after research a general service can be done at reasonable cost I will probably buy one. I don't want a good watch that will cost me £300 every two or three years for a service. So at £632 from Alexanders I may well but one next week. Thanks again David
Big fan of Longines. Most of these have been seen on here at one time or another, but this thread is a good excuse to get them out again!

Only ever had one Longines, a golden wing similar to this
it was my first decent watch I bought when I was 21
I 'lost' it 8 years later on a drunken night out on our weddingmoon which led to a subsequent purchase of my omega Seamaster for our wedding
I've periodically searched for a replacement (although not that hard) with no joy so far

I no longer have it but my Hydroconquest (the red version) was the most accurate Swiss auto that I have owned

Always dresses well...
34mm. Which makes a difference for me. I used to have a 33mm dress watch and it always felt small, whereas this, once I've tuned into the style, feels just normal.
BTW I think the numerals are gold leaf, which I guess makes sense given the case is only 9ct. I'm sure a 18ct version with applied solid gold indices would look very beautiful. But I would probably feel less inclined to wear it down the pub.

This was my favourite Longines, the Lindberg Hour Angle.
Despite its size it wore really well & was one I'll try to get back one day
