    Just the one here.

A 2015 automatic dress watch with grey sunburst dial. Lovely thing.

A few new snaps of this 80 year old enamel dial ”CAF” (this one is a civilian though),

Two elderly divers. A 19AS (on the left) and a 290cal.

This is quite nice too: A reissue Silver Arrow.

Although not a particularly special watch, it's extremely rare. For some inexplicable reason production was stopped early on in the run. Hard to find now, which is a shame because I think it's supremely elegant (bar the date window) with a lovely deco inspired dial with sharply edged and angled indexes and an near-as-dammit ideal 37mm size.

I bought this when they first came out. It's been basically on my wrist since then and has only recently been joined by an Oris 111 which is my 'formal' watch.

I've spent ages using it with different straps... for the first few years I used the OEM 'sailcloth' strap but got through three of them (they weren't very durable). They've recently changed the OEM strap to a slightly more textured one which I ordered some time ago. I've just put it on and it feels like 'coming home' - it suits the watch perfectly.

Really beautiful watches, the finish and small details on mine make them stand out from other marques

Wonder will we see a Hydroconquest quartz with the new VHP movement inside? I think that would be a great combination.

It would be a terrible idea! I'd have to find the money to buy one!

What model is this Tenko? I recall someone asking about a very similar looking piece a few weeks ago, and they wanted to know what it was. It's lovely.

Looks great! I’ve got one preordered by apparently not due until Feb!

Can’t wait though, looks a great size on the wrist.

  36. #136
Type A-7 from the Hugh Rice sale. Straight off to Swatch for warranty repair as the chronograph isn’t engaging, but I really love the watch. Size is a large 49mm but that is true to the original and telling the time isn’t as difficult as you would think.

I tried this Model on at the Longines night, I think it suits the leather strap being a heritage model and keeping it in with the period.

Fantastic looking watch very similar to a vintage one that was on SC a while back. I agree with the below comment though that it would look a lot better on a leather strap though.

Lovely watch shame about the straps.. the stock leather strap fits it perfectly...

The strap in the first picture is the OEM one...

There is no doubt that it’s supplied strap is a perfect fit but it’s nice to experiment with some different looks.

    All part of the fun

I really like the OEM strap. I don't think the NATO fits the style of the watch myself but nothing wrong with experimenting as you say!

Very elegant, IMO. May I ask which model this is? Would be seriously tempted if I knew the size it it, and it didn’t come in too large.

Thanks, both for the information and for posting the original picture. I am really taken with the look of the watch, which is odd given I don’t normally go for chronographs.

No worries. It was my first “proper” watch which I bought almost 14 years ago! Managed to buy for £700, I believe RRP at the time was £1100
