    CWC GS Sapphire

I'm limbering up to the pain of forking out £300 for the no date version.

Before I do I wonder if anyone has been similarly daft and has some experience to impart?

It took me a long time to see any value in these basic little quartzes but then I picked one up for 42 quid and I love it... but at 300 quid I just don't see it. Yeah, it's got sapphire, is shiny and new but £300 is a crazy sum for such a basic watch.

It does have the updated 200m water resistance ! Yes lots of quartz divers out there for a lot less even auto but it's the GS styling - nice and legible

Imagine how many second hand g10s you could get for £300

    Retirement present for my boss

It's a cool watch. Would have been better with 18mm lugs, less reflection and white hands

The problem is that i don't get on with the PRS18, and once this watch became available the traditional G10 became a compromise. However its £300...........

I need a few more sleeps on this, can't see them selling out:)

Lovely no nonsense timepiece. The sapphire does reflect light and I wish the hands were white rather than chrome. Other than those minor complaints it's a great watch. Watchgecko sell 19mm ZuluDiver natos which fit like a glove.

And is it a ten year battery life? Good proportions too. There's much to like about this model.

Shiny hands could be an issue, that's where the new PRS-10 fell down for me. I think I'll need to see it before I buy.

Bought the pvd version after previously having handled the steel version. Was hoping the pvd case would reduce crystal glare and it really does, it's much better than the bead blasted version due mainly to the pvd rehaut.

Cwc have confirmed on instagram that it has a ten year battery.

Less than a year later and 300 quid on a g10 isn't starting to look so silly. World's gone mad.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

It's the only CWC model not to have had a ridiculous price increase during the last year.

I think I'm going to retire from watches soon. There's only one thing on my list anyway.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I couldn't stand mine SBS variant, felt too light and no presence (Exactly how the SBS would want them)

I have two CWC, a chronograph and a W10, chuffed with both. However, I think £300 for the fat boy G10 is rather expensive, so I will be buying one of Eddie's Prescista G10 when available in August.

This looks like an old thread but in reply to 'gubbins' -

I recently 'ummed and aahhed' about purchasing a CWC G10 sapphire but after much thought decided that I would prefer the Timefactors PRS10 which is what I got. I saved myself a few quid the and difference in price I can now spend on a CWC Divers (which as everybody knows are a tad strong on price!)
That way I get a nice small G10 and also a nice larger divers. I would however prefer the PRS10 to have a no date option like the CWC G10.
