    The Expanse

Anyone watching The Expanse on Netflix? Gets a good score on IMDB (8.2), I've watched 2 episodes but am still undecided.

My mother's husband put it on when round there Monday for lunch....didn't think it was quite the thing for being on while everyone round & on the silly small kitchen tv so will try it again at home on bigger screen and get back to you...it did look promising....

I'd told the first couple of episodes are a bit ropy but the quality ramps pretty quickly.

Love the books and the first series lives up to expectations. It's a slow burner as they build up such a rich world and the story is a little complicated. I think from episode 4 it gets going. Some of the fx work is stunning. Stick with it!

I watched it earlier this year and enjoyed it. A second series is coming in the new year...

I liked it. It could do with a little more adult "edge" but its a good solid hardish scifi series.

I watched the series, its not bad in a Bladerunner/Firefly mix kind of way, nto bad acting, reasonable script, good effects.

better than half the garbage on TV

I find it pretty decent, especially with the complete lack of any "proper" sci-fi shows. Looking forward to season 2 which is out early next year and more importantly the next book later this year.

It takes half the series to get going, but if you persevere, probably worth a watch.

I'd never heard of it until seeing this thread, but 3 episodes in and I'm enjoying it.

Ceres Station reminds me of Mars in Total Recall, I wonder if it is deliberate.

it seems to be a mish mash of a lot ot TV/movie sci fi, the cop is very like Deckard from Bladerunner, the streets are like Bladerunner, where he lives is like the Matt Damon movie Elysium, overall it has a feel of FireFly etc.

But doesn't include shots of Sting in his underpants of course.
